An edited version of the three panel "Equality, Equity, Justice" graphic. The original image shows variations on a tall person, medium person, and short person trying to watch a soccer game over a fence. Under equality, the graphic shows the people standing on equally sized boxes such that the tall and medium people can see but not the short one. Under equity, it shows the tall person on no boxes, medium person on one box, and the short person on two boxes such that everyone can see. In the original image, under Justice it shows the fence gone so everyone can see regardless. In the edited version I have in my header, the third image under Justice is replaced with an inage of some shirtless white men bent down picking cotton while a Black man swings his belt up in the air as if to whip them while a gigantic disembodied MLK head looks on smiling from the sky.

Technically, it's not "real" slavery. In some states, they can kind of forcibly lease you out, but they can't make you actually work once you are there.

Inmates like these programs, and oftentimes they provide a real career upon release. However, they need to be paid fairly. $5/day is not fairly.
