One of the main quest in this game to progress is to collect relic crystals. One place for the relic requires a glass key to save a princess who just said no to somebody. So, to acquire the key, you need to have high enough of merit points. Notice, you can also NOT DO good deeds in side-quests.

Never have I finished Ahriman's Prophecy (prologue of the series) and omg that took a while to finish. There are some bugs and the description of few spells weren't correct. One mechanic is this merit point (karma)system, do good deeds in side-quest, get merit point or none if bad. What's the catch?

Something different, I was wondering, but I guess posting activities is not bad. I've decided to play the whole Aveyond series, RPG Maker made by Amanda Fitch, because it reminds me of my childhood activity in games. I remember this was one of my early RPG Maker games. First is prologue of course.

Aveyond prologue, Ahriman's Prophecy final area where the literally who Ahriman wakes up from his nap and the party is ready to stop him from his full resurrection.

Yeah, those do happen, but I think it's mainly when taking and accepting to take lots of tasks like responsibilities are being put onto your shoulders and it's difficult to say no.
