People were pointing out specific streets and buildings. There is no way they saw the original real design and decided not to point out that the picture wasn't real.

It's a photo-realistic image of a french-looking city with a mixture of renaissance and later romanesque architecture (as far as I can tell). The main objects are two majestic and imposing peacocks on hanging on the opposite walls of the street, they are holding a circular ornament in their beaks. The first is labelled La Panne and the second one AA Panne.

Also, I have no clue why people would lie about this being real.

There are very suspicious definitions that have no business being there. Especially egregious is the 4th definition of "science" redirecting to Christian Science and "healer." I don't have time to look for the source on the funding right now, but iirc, that was the reason why they're included.
