the hateful reaction against e.g. Skrillex mirrored the hate for black punks in the 70s, hip-hop DJs accused of stealing music & being derivative in the 70s-80s, women musicians & fans in various scenes at various times, and so on in that it was a vibes-based *reaction*, which is why it was stupid
