Doubt it given that Lipton's premium brands (Pukka and T2) both use pyramid bags.

It's difficult in this day and age with motor cars and fast trains to realise how slow travelling across land was relative to on water.

If they are scared of the court case and are letting those out then losing the court case must have far bigger consequences than just 2 prisoners sentenced as seriously as possible based on the laws at the time.

Korea added ANOTHER 7 years to President Yoon's sentence this week. He's already in for life but there's constantly new trials to set precedent for every single thing he did wrong to be worthy of punishment. Elsewhere, political standards are so lax no one can even check if a dude's dead or not.

I'm wondering if their canvassing in Manchester is telling them that Reform hasn't a chance of winning..

That is all down to the work of one former MP Cheryl Gillam. And you can see why she worked so hard to block it when after her death her Parliamentary seat was won easily by the Lib Dems.

So without the reservoirs (lead time probably 80 years given the last time when was built) where is the water for the AI data centre coming from). And why should I as a customer of a water company pay for it - want water for your AI data centre pay for the infrastructure required

Why would people be asked to reduce water consumption if it’s always abundant?
100
Ben Thompson @eek.bsky.social · 08/06/2026
Nope - the energy one is actually an easier fix than the water one. If you need x millions of litres of water a day beyond current demand - where is Thames Water going to get it from. Or have hosepipe bans and similar requests to reduce water consumption never happened

www.lincolninst.edu/publications... So you want to add data centre consuming the energy used by a small city and requiring the same water usage as that small city. Where is that water coming from in the South East / London.

Still would be a problem were an accident to occur in an area where speed restrictions had been agreed and then intentionally removed

Ben Thompson @eek.bsky.social · 02/06/2026
What would the consequence on Lime's insurance be if an accident occurred and their removal of speed restrictions meant it was faster than legally required. Got to say I can see why someone removed the limit but there are consequences Lime's management clearly never thought about.

It's Wimbledon moving to Milton Keynes. but for reasons I've never got NFL teams seem to insist on the local Government building them better and better stadiums. In the UK Football clubs own the land and build their stadiums themselves.

Problem is Healey has had a couple of recent interviews where he hasn't seemed to be quite on top of his brief. The timing is, however, not going to work for Rayner and Burnham so it's going to be an surprise winner.

So born 1886, this course is in 1927 when she is 40-41. I would be going for Jute Weaver as there were a number of Jute factories in London that seem to have been closing around then.

We import diesel and its “ingredients” also form a whole other set of products. Hence demand and perceived supply risks are higher than petrol. Also we import more diesel than petrol so we may have issues with suppliers hoarding stock for their local use

I suspect it comes down to the public opinion of the (new) Labour Leader at the time of the election. If Labour have any sense SKS (and Reeves) will be on the back benches and leaving at the next election. That will result in a very different result to if SKS remains.

Nope that’s a 6 figure salary I don’t work for any part of the government - earn a 6 fire salary and I agree with the anon opinion and have seen plenty of evidence that backs him up. But then again I actually do research before making a comment because I don’t like making a fool of myself

The reason you can't be both mayor and MP is because the mayor is the Police Commissioner. Remove the Police Commissioner part of the job and Andy could potentially double job until the next mayoral election.

They should have quietly just got on with it. I really can’t fathom how bad this Labour Government has been at politics - I know Starmer wasn’t a politician but even I wouldn’t have been this incompetent

I will never understand the desire to talk about it before they’ve quietly released it to the point 80% of people have already used it. I like the idea of it but that’s because I’ve worked around Europe where the user story for confirm who someone is is - ask for their id, job done next stage

They haven't a chance in the 2029 election campaign unless they deliver something. I'm very anti Farage but I'm not voting for 4 more years of nothing being done and shifting from budget crisis to budget crisis.
