I happen to work in a tech school and with a very competent scientific commitee. They really tried to find redeeming quality to it but well... sorry. Generative AI is just a hot garbage in 99.99% of the cases. Its current ethics, impact, premises & output is garbage.

There are a ton of valid reasons for not using Genai, but I'm still waiting of a valid one to use it. Productivity gain is absolutely unproven. It's just social pressure. I agree with the cigarette metaphor and feel very much like 14yo me in middle school being the only one not smoking.

Je ne vois pas en quoi Peppa Pig c'est de la merde au passage. Il y a un second degré excellent. Et c'est très adapté à la tranche d'âge à laquelle ça s'adresse... Visuellement ça ne plait pas à toustes les adultes, mais c'est pas pour autant que c'est de la mauvaise qualité.

On ne peut pas demander aux petits commerçants (par ex) d'avoir l'oeil pour se rendre compte que c'est moche et que ça ne marche pas. Mais on peut leur demander de mesurer leur impact écologique. La RSE avec l'IA Gen ça me fait bien rigoler (tristement) en ce moment.

Yep pareil... Ca montre aussi qu'on n'a pas expliqué les problèmes de l'IA Gen. Je pense que s'il y avait un truc indiquant les conséquences sur l'environnement (comme le DPE) à chaque fois que qqun entre un prompt, les genstes hésiteraient plus.

Ahah yes. I often say my garden games cannot be realistic because gardening is so punitive, hardcore and violent ;) The target audience would not be cozy gamers but more elden rings and I am not sure they are very much into plants and flowers ;)

So we use some of her recipe but at the beginning of the game you don't know her so it's more the common ones. Also Hildegard is not super precise on quantity and how to prepare so we work with a real contemporary herbalist too: Lise Saporita.

The environment art for our next game is VERY work in progress, but I'm quite happy with our water 🌊 It will still be a historical game, but this time set in the 12th century, with several garden and a rather big part of the gameplay will be herbalism craft :) #cozygame #indiedev
