Despite the freezing temperatures, I made it a priority to participate in the city’s annual MLK parade. No matter how cold as it was, I kept thinking about the marches, sit-ins, and boycotts that were more unbearable than this weather…and how many sacrificed so much for us to enjoy our civil rights.
