Georgi Yatsev @edwardbear.bsky.social · 31/10/2024Funny story, prior to getting married, my soon-to-be wife complained that she wakes up with terrible headaches in the morning. Neurologist said no anomalies. I placed a CO₂ sensor and the mystery was solved. Her next course of action? Unplug the sensor. 010

Georgi Yatsev @edwardbear.bsky.social · 31/10/2024I always approach that with “API” - assume positive intent. Maybe they feel guilty or bad that they needed help in the first place. Ego is a huge factor. Maybe they weren’t raised right. Still, you can focus on the positive - lesson learned. That doesn’t mean you should stop helping people in need. 040
Georgi Yatsev @edwardbear.bsky.social · 30/10/2024When you try to plug stuff back there, you rarely look at the thing - you rely on touching. Increases the odds of accidentally pressing it. 010
Georgi Yatsev @edwardbear.bsky.social · 30/10/2024Unpopular opinion of the day: The new power button on the Mac Mini makes sense. Moving it at the bottom makes accidental presses gone, when trying to plug something in the back. Macs wake up from keystrokes/cursor movement. 80% of the user base will not use that button after the first press. 240
