When did they do that before 4?

100

I'd say that's most certainly what it looks like.

000

well if you haven't killed them they will get back up

000

Because that's where it went downhill

I remember sometimes I used to do fanfics while listening to more ambient music, video game music, or Red Hot Chili Peppers

Yep, it was an idea they had for the final monster where it would've been the three guys that'd gotten absorbed as one Thing.

I doubt he's ever been that "great" as a "person", but he did make some pretty cool stuff over the years.

000

edward18 @edward18517.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Eh, that's never stopped me from loving his stuff

000

edward18 @edward18517.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Personally I'll always be able to enjoy what he creates regardless of how he as a person is. Gear is one of my favorite comics ever and Earthworm Jim Special Edition is arguably the greatest video game ever created to me.

The Third Malformation of G Animation

MJ?...oh you mean Milla Jovovich? Those movies were garbage. The fanbase literally hated those ever since they came out.

030

2 had arguably the best art of the entire series

I do wonder if some of the stuff that they were going to put into the Saturn version of 2 ended up in CV since the game was being made to make up for them not porting 2 to the Saturn.

CODE: Veronica has one of the best video game soundtracks ever.

000

to me it's arguably the best game of the whole series

000

Well it was being designed as a sequel to 2 and 1, not 3. 3 and CV are essentially 2 separate sequels to 2 (3 wasn't even gonna be a main game sequel, it just got the number 3 slapped onto it after they started making it).

The games do feel like they've suffered in recent times with Capcom feeling like they think they need to put out a new one every year.

I was just happy that it got back to feeling like it was dealing with actual RE-material after what 4 did.

000

Mikami did say that 2, 3, and CV could've been remade like that if he'd been greedy, but once 1's remake was done he wanted all efforts to go to finishing 4 which was already past deadline.

No. The movies never have anything to do with the games. They're one of the most different-from-the-source-material movies that you can come across. They're essentially an entirely different series.

100

I more just take issue with what he said when it was first shown.

000

Left one is the best version of 2 they ever did

Nobody treats any of the movies as "the second coming of Christ". They're all garbage.

It really dragged down what the game could've been

You say like "the best RE movie" is a competition. They're all garbage.

000

I want to see a movie of the games.

000

Japan usually releasing the games earlier than in other countries.

100

Hearing that it's a "hilarious" movie is warning enough I'd say.

If you wanna get more into the ongoing story from that game, The Wesker Report II is what came out alongside it which helps to show how it connects to the other games of the series (G for instance in 2 it reveals came from Lisa and the Parasite in her is what makes Nemesis in 3).

Yeah, 4 is the first one that was more of an action game than a horror game. It also had hardly anything to do with what came before it in the series.
