ANNOUNCEMENT: Grant Awarded for Research on Education History and Teacher Learning to EduColor, TC Center on History and Education
ANNOUNCEMENT: EduColor and the TC Center on History and Education have received a major grant from the Spencer Foundation to support our work together in the HEAL (Histories of Education Action & Learning) Collaborative! Over the last few years, we've been building up an institute at the intersection of teacher learning and education activism, and we're grateful that we'll get to both research and learn more about how this might enhance new notions of teacher professionalism!

Here are four things we're amplifying! We're not going anywhere / Analyses of book bans / The role of federal funding / Join the beloved community We're not going anywhere. We as an organization aren't moving or changing our language. After taking a survey of the lay of the land, we noticed that changing our language and how we discuss our work is a real misstep. They even said that, if we change our language, they'll ban that, too. Nah. The easiest thing to say is that, yes, a plethora of...

Woodson envisioned Negro History Week (which eventually became Black History Month), he and others didn't imagine it would be siloed to just February. He saw this as a template for how to infuse Black history into curriculum across schools and institutions year-round. Unfortunately, we haven't...

Community is the way! For #GivingTuesday, please consider us for a generous, tax-deductible donation so we can keep working in community for *us.* We've had a lot of impact through small donations and a lot of people power. Invest in us and we can do so much more! educolor.org/donate
