*I didnt give Methos a choice, he knew my will wouldn't bend on this. He simply nodded his head and turned away.* Ciro...what's next?

Why did you tell me he'd died? "Because he asked me too." *It was a gut punch and I bent with the truth. A deep breath centered me and I pushed the memories aside.* We don't have time but I want his whereabouts when this is over. >>>

Answer Ciro's other questions. *Methos shook his head and sighs.* "I'm not the first immortal but I knew them. I took their head. I'm not proud of it, so I don't speak of it." *My mind was playing through what was said but I had to ask the question I knew would hurt.* >>>

None of us want James to have access to this Beast. Does the folder hold a map or clues to where James could be? "No, just notes about the Beast and its beginnings. And those who came before James. As for the jewelry...its the map. It lights the way. Thats all I know." >>>

*Methos sighs,* "The Beast is nothing but pure hate manifested. James is full of hate and rage with nothing but a desire for power and destruction." Why didn't you tell anyone what James was, or could potentially, be up to? I know several immortals who would band together to stop him. >>>

{ Solo } "The Captain of Sharpe's NightBooks" Rain had wrapped New York in its familiar nighttime gray when Buffy pushed open the door to Sharpe’s NightBooks. The small bell chimed softly, old-fashioned. Warm light spilled between the shelves, and the scent of paper, dust, +

《Solo》 "The dream came without warning" Ray stood in a tall, cold room that smelled of dust and blood. The candles burned without flickering, as if even the air were afraid to move. In front of him stood Antonio.. as immaculate as ever. +

* Solo* The belt came down again, and 10 year old Cirino Leandros knew better than to utter a sound. Father was in a mood tonight. Muttering something about "damned addition just doesn't work for you, hmm? Count. The. Strikes. Out loud." His messy blond hair falling over his face, the boy nodded.++

Had I taken his head before, my friend would still be here. All of it my fault. He leapt at me and he sliced me but instinct kicked in. It said survive now, feel sorrow later. So that's what I did, I survived. >>>

I got there late and a fight had occurred. My friend was peaceful and loved people, never wanted to fight. When I saw his body, I sobbed. When I saw that James had killed him from behind, I sobbed even harder. James survived by pretending to be an innocent newborn to the game. >>>

Yet he wasn't a man, not really, only in years. Any growth, save malice, was stunted in him. I believe I could understand why he was so enraged and that's why I let him live. I watched a bit longer than left, never showing myself. A few days later I was meeting an old friend at a park. >>>
