“Half is a relative term.” - that guy 😂 Ralph’s had an amazing sale on ribeyes, so we had ribeye and red beans & rice.

There are two black round plates on our ugly counter. One plate has a small serving of meat and single scoop of red beans and rice, and the other plate has the huge rest of the ribeye and a big pile of red beans and rice. You can see our messy counter (laptop, chips, dirty mug, etc.) in the background.

One of the most frustrating parts of #dysautonomia is that when my body gets triggered into a fight or flight response, it takes hours or even days before my body adjusts back to “normal“. And for obvious reasons, my anxiety has been through the roof lately, so every time I have a panic attack…. 🙄

Good news! My doctor filled out the new form required by CalFresh that states that yes, I am in fact disabled and unable to work 20 hours per week. So now we just have to wait for that guy’s birth certificate to arrive so we can prove his citizenship status. 🙄 All for less than $300 a month.

It’s hard to adequately convey how depressing & frustrating it is not to be able to work to earn a living. Chronic illness comes with chronic expenses. And it’s ridiculously expensive to be sick in this country. On top of this, we have a society that values humans based solely on their productivity
