Edness @edness.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Burnout Paradise on PS3 still shows you in-game notifications when someone else starts playing the game and lets you attempt to invite them, and you still get the trophy even though the servers are long gone, lmao 000
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I guess I must really hate myself because I finally just got Platinum in Fallout: New Vegas on the PS3 as well :^) At times this game felt even more unstable than Fallout 3... 100
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 23/09/2026How are Bethesda PS3 ports so awful that manage to completely break the system 😭 this is what my PS3 just displayed instead of the XMB after quitting Fallout New Vegas when it started running at 0.01 fps for the 500th time. 000
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Me after Fallout New Vegas crashes 3 times within 5 minutes on the PS3 020
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Okay I spent like half an hour trying to get the rarest Minecraft PS3 trophy today, it's still not as rare as 100%ing Ridge Racer Unbounded, but it did break into my top 5 lol www.twitch.tv/edness/clip/... 120
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 29/08/2026I picked up Ridge Racer Unbounded earlier this year because I had vaguely heard of it as somewhat of a spiritual successor to Split/Second. I think it says something when the game has fully overtaken my rarest trophies, not even 1000 people have finished it, let alone less than 500 having 100%ed it. 110
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Don't play the official Russian translation shipped with the 10th anniversary demaster of San Andreas, biggest mistake of my life 000
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 24/07/2026Not sure if performing the glitch to have all companions recruited together in Fallout: New Vegas was the smartest choice, especially on the already unstable PS3 version, but... 110
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 14/07/2026And after countless game freezes, lock-ups, system crashes, and even a few save corruptions, from sheer determination I finally got Platinum in it! It really is a miracle this miserable port made it past Sony's certification QA. (Eventually I also got the Xbox360 version which should be much better) 110
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 22/06/2026@textfiles.com Dunno if you've already heard, but Redump has fully migrated to a new site due to neglect of its sole admin. Other sites and emulators already have or are in the process of changing links to the new site, I think Internet Archive should too! 030
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 22/06/2026A typo in the CD-Text title, point and laugh at this publisher 010
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 31/05/2026YouTube's automatic thumbnail picker really likes this Bully loading screen, apparently 010

Edness @edness.bsky.social · 02/05/2026You ever had to quote the official Latvian voice-over of The Simpsons for Wiktionary? I just did! 000
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 15/03/2026Every time Ridge Racer Unbounded does this to me, I think of that "What successful rage bait looks like" image and it cracks me up 031
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 06/03/2026I am quite clueless about anything TTRPG related, as others (mostly on Twitter) have already pointed out, this is a well established series that Tayon appear to have licensed. My initial guess was that this was some accidental cross-publisher push, but evidently not. Build is dated May 20, 2025. 0140
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 06/03/2026Title screen says Hunter: The Reckoning, but the actual games under that title are by another developer and are 2D text based, unlike whatever this is. Doesn't look very hunter-like either so I doubt this is their Hunting Simulator 3. (Screenshots by @jason098.bsky.social) 2416
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 21/01/2026Normally I always use OPL/SMB on my PS2 just to not wear out the drive laser, but I couldn't be bothered to get it working last night, which lead to me discovering this weird anomaly where my PS2 now apparently keeps violently crashing the OPU by the inner ring when shutting down, what 110
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 19/01/2026Tracked down an undumped and somewhat hard to come by release of a game and it's swiss cheese 😬 120
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 15/01/2026I wanted Split/Second's FSB music to have comprehensible filenames, which lead to me accidentally reimplementing almost the entire FMOD Event (FEV) system in vgmstream, whoops. You're welcome. 040
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 14/01/2026In the 90s there was a Latvian-Russian kids TV show I grew up with titled В гостях у Тофика (Visiting Tofik), which only aired in Russian. In the 2000s it had DVD releases which also had exclusive Baltic voiceovers. So I've dumped and uploaded them to Archive. (Also just higher quality than YT) 010
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 31/12/2025I keep seeing people post firmware keys for newer Sony PlayStation systems or whatever, but does anyone happen to have the RSA private exponent SCEE London Studio used to sign their SingStore DLC with the modulus 0xDD3CFCF8..D9425983 and public exponent 0x10001 to give out too 🥺👉👈 010
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 29/11/2025I always forget that GameStop also had an (admittedly pretty small) presence in Europe as well, I pretty much only ever saw it as an exclusively American brand. 020
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 15/11/2025Of the many solutions I've seen online to make wprintf properly print chars outside of the local codepage on Windows C programs, only _setmode(_fileno(stdout), _O_U16TEXT) seems to work. But what no one brings up afterward is that wprintf becomes line unbuffered, and there's just no way to fix that? 100
Edness @edness.bsky.social · 24/10/2025Bought a new SD card for my phone, and it came with a Windows System Volume Information directory from July 8, 2024. Thanks, Samsung! (and Microsoft, I guess...) 000
