The giant #daisies from some #wildflower seeds I planted last year have been thriving in the sunny, dry weather over the past few weeks. They are up to my waist as they face up to the sun. And the #buttercups closer to the ground are pretty beautiful too.

I took a lovely #StetWalk or two in Oxford on Tuesday and Wednesday, visiting my son. He brought us around the deer park at Magdalen College. It was beautiful in the sunshine.

I was #proofreading my #garden today, under feline supervision and with a #reading break. I have found that idea more appealing than #weeding, so it’s what I tell myself I’m going to do.

This was the best we had for seeing skills develop over time - from not being able to put shapes in, to recognising the right colours and pointing for an adult to put it through the right gap, to the physical ability to push them into the right gap. It was a gift from a friend in the US.

It’s a while since I felt such tension in moving from the genre of a book I’ve just finished to that of one I’m about to start. It’s probably a while since I put one down and picked another up in one sitting, though. #books #reading
