Does anybody know why the LGBTQIA+ newsfeed is broken?

Edith Trident @edithtrident.bsky.social · 04/05/2025

Convo with some friends about trans issues, my one takeaway is: SO many people don't even realize that trans men exist! Like when I mentioned how ridiculous the bathroom ban issue was because that would force trans men into womens bathrooms, my friends didn't know what I was talking about... 😢

For the #DoingFeministLegalWork #Morrigan blog, I wrote about how trans rights rhetoric is hollowed out by the denial of full social citizenship, and how real trans liberatory work is the only way forward. dflw.ie/trans-rights...

Trans Rights and Threatened Citizenship - Doing Feminist Legal Work

I have been mulling on the phrase ‘trans rights are human rights.’ Of course they are; no-one at this blog would contend otherwise. We chant it at protests,

Mädchen in uniform (1931) is a wondeful LGBTQ film from Germany on the cusp of WWII. A groundbreaking piece of film that was banned by the Nazi's. Let's all go watch it especially now! Thanks to @cinemamonamour.bsky.social for bringing this gem to my attention.

It's possible that support accounts are a bit overwhelmed since bluesky doesn't have a lot of staff I think...

Happy to help. Report them, block them and then warn others about bad actors as far as you can.

Also check out the account 'Sky sentry' to find some proper blocklists, but do vet them for yourself.

Heads up, be careful just subscribing to random block lists! There are bad actors like Deffo Party that add lgbtq accounts to blocklists with misleading names. Always check lists before subscribing. To check if you are on blocklists visit clearsky.app

Yup, deffo party is absolutely just here to be a bad actor and sow confusion. Do everything you can to report them to mods and warn others

Be careful, vet blocklists! bad actors trying to disrupt bsky are creating bad faith blocklists. One such bad actor is Deffo Party. They are creating blocklists with names like 'fascists, MAGAs' and filling the lists with LGBTQ people. They also often change the names of lists to hide their intent.

I was blocklisted by deffo party too, when I reached out via mods deffo party just renamed their list. Have seen lots of lgbtq people being added to blocklists by dp. They are a bad actor trying to undermine liberal activity on bsky. Report them, Block them back, make posts about them to warn others
