Shit I was born in the 80s and my dad was a lawyer (though one who worked the state, not in a private practice) and my mom a dentistry professor at a public university, which is to say I was *ridiculously* fortunate, and I still shared a bedroom with a sibling as a young child.

“The democratic process” matters in the sense that whoever gets the most votes in the general election must be given the seat, and in the sense that anyone can run. It does not matter in the sense that a CHOICE to stay in with no hope of winning, helping republicans, should be praised.
