Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 09/08/2026PSA: Jason Dean would NOT survive a day in Umeå. We do not have a single 7-eleven. In fact, anywhere north of Uppsala and boi is COOKED. Thank you for your attention. F to pay respects. 020

Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 28/05/2026I think seeing this with my school class at around 8yrs old or so was my first contact with anime overall (aside from technically Moomin but, yaknow, didn't really register that as 'anime' at the time), Haku was peak magical boyfriend material 👌static.klipy.comSpirited Away: Haku Protects ChihiroALT: Spirited Away: Haku Protects Chihiro 150
Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 10/04/2026I'm so fkn sick of the trial/challenge/whathaveyou plot device in fantasy books, so from page 144 and onwards I am skipping the Tané scenes in the Priory of the Orange Tree. At least until another POV confirms that she's done with the damn tRiALs. 010
Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 16/01/2026Imagine if people complained about all the Barbies the way they do with the autism Barbie. "Nurse Barbie only comes with a stethoscope and not a full, understaffed and overwhelmed hospital to reflect the lived experience of actual nursedom. Also FYI, not every nurse uses a stethoscope, smh" 070

Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 04/09/2025Finally watched KPop Demon Hunters. I kinda like it, but I'm also kinda sad about all the missed potential that has me not quite loving it ^^' Lot of good things and a lot of "damn if only they'd-" 130
Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 03/07/20251 When you're young change is a train. Next stop: Kindergarten. Next stop: School. Next stop:... Sometimes you'd have a change of train. Maybe this school wasn't the right fit for you, let's try that other train--it'll arrive in the same place in the end, but maybe the route will be less bleak? 130
Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 04/06/2025My curious interest in this 'underrated cult classic' has been sufficiently punished. Reading about the history behind this ambitious but troubled production (and wondering What Could Have Been) is more interesting than watching the movie itself. 3/10, could have been a 4 if Gurgi had stayed dead. 030

Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 27/03/2025"The original epic came out around the late 8th or early 7th century BCE, and very evidently so," says Sam Youngboy, starring as Achilles in upcoming The Iliad-remake. "There’s a big focus on his beef with a king who literally stole the lady he stole first. Weird. So we didn’t do that this time." 220
Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 20/03/2025While I appreciate the value of "doing something new" with an adaptation of a preexisting work/character, don't shit on the coattails you're riding. If you outright resent the source material, just make something of your own that suits your tastes. I don't think I'll be watching the new Snow White. 230
Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 20/03/2025Idk, I just think poison is a neat plot device to sprinkle a li'l sense of horror into a non-horror story 🫠 (Also jk, I still adore you hemlock poisoning my beloved 🫶) 010
Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 11/03/2025It's fascinating how some people's reason for criticizing the idea of a Black actor portraying Snape in the Harry Potter series is that it would make James unsympathetic for bullying him. Makes me wonder if they read the OG scene and thought 'oh yeah this is ok behaviour, you go James' 😅 010
Emzing @edgehogemzing.bsky.social · 11/02/2025I've heard a great deal about you, Netflix Death Note. You butchered every single character you supposed to adapt from the original. You skipped out on its signature tactical hijinks in favour of Final Destination-esque gore. You ruined nigh-on EVERYTHING. And... you were never, ever boring. GG. 020
