Went to my first major pride event last weekend 🌈 It was such a joyous weekend filled with being surrounded by the amazing queer community in my city ♥️ I am so proud to be out and accepted amongst these people and I am so grateful that I finally feel safe and happy to be myself 🥰

This one was so stupidly sweet and funny that I found myself physically hugging this book to my chest when I finished it 🥰 The book tackled the long term effects of bullying, learning to forgive yourself and the importance of friendship. It also had great Autism representation. #booksky

Another fun sapphic scifi romance book finished! It was filled with art deco aesthetic, lady con artists, a love triangle and some really great world-building. The story had lots of witty quips and sneaky plans. I got some Bioshock vibes from this one which I didn't hate 😉 #booksky

My partner and I went to the Field Museum in Chicago today to see the Pokemon fossil exhibit - it was amazing 🤩 I loved how it both taught about Pokemon but also actual fossils and dinosaurs, it was incredibly well curated.

Wanted to write a memory that I had about Tim Curry today 💔

My dad and I never saw eye to eye. He was a very toxic person for a lot of reasons and I don't regret cutting him out of my life, but I do recall a summer in which we took a road trip where we actually got along.

I was a huge theater kid and loved more the anything to listen to musical soundtracks growing up. My dad was a serious intellectual type who didn't often show humor or goofiness and would often complain about my being "immature" when I was silly and sing along to the same thing over and over again.

But that summer we started listening to the soundtrack to Spamalot while driving. And my dad LOVED IT. We both sang at the top of our lungs to every song and even had set parts of who would sing what. My dad would always sing Tim Curry's (King Arthur's) part and put his entire soul into it. He was goofy and happy and acted like I never saw him before.

Tim Curry always put 100% into every character he played. It didn't matter if it was a small or large part, a serious or silly one, he always took it seriously and did amazing. King Arthur in Spamalot was no exception.

While there is unfortunately nothing that can repair the relationship with my dad, I want to thank Tim Curry for creating a character that my dad really connected to. One that allowed me to see a side to him that I didn't get to normally. You did more for me than I realized at the time and I am so grateful to you for sharing your talent with the world.

I saw history in the making today ⚾ Some friends and I went to a Women's Professional Baseball League (WPBL) game! We saw the San Fransisco Firebells play the New York Heights and it was truly amazing 🤩 This inaugural season is so cool and I really hope they continue next year 🤞🏻

This was a fun queer retelling of the story of Camelot. I really enjoyed the dynamic between the Arthur and Guinevere characters and their constant jabs at each other. The side characters in this book were amazing and it made me laugh out loud more than once 😂 #booksky

Finished this one last night - what a beautifully heartbreaking story 💔 This YA sapphic romance story was about coming out in 1950s San Francisco in the Chinese-American community. It examined racism, politics, homophobia and misogyny. But it also had a gorgeous love story woven into it. #booksky

Recently finished Spider Noir... I actually loved it! I had zero expectations for this show but Nicolas Cage's weirdness paired with humor and a 1940s black and white setting was actually really neat. I loved that it didn't take itself too seriously 🤣

Recently finished watching A League of Their Own (show) and I'm pretty devastated they never renewed it for season 2 😭 I enjoyed seeing queer relationships set against a historical backdrop and the experience that Black women baseball players would face at the time. We need more shows like this ❤️
