It's a big mystery, isn't it?? 🧐

Edenfields @edenfields.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Isn't she lovely? 😍 Mama Eden is settling into her new home and our daily routine. She and Corn haven't yet met the catio, but I think it's just about time. It's a delight to be building trust with them. #tinykittensalumni #catsofbluesky #adoptdontshop #tnr

Definitely. And definitely! 💖

One day I hope these babies will decide to trust me enough to do things like wipe their eye crusties. Today, being privy to the perfect afternoon nap is enough. #adoptdontshop #tnr #tinykittensalumni

It's true. Although there was that one time he pushed her right off the edge and onto the floor ... 🙀 Oopsy

You read my mind 🌞 Managed to distract him with the brush with one hand and remove the nugget with the other. Whew. (They both love that glove, and I love deploying it.)

I keep hoping she'll deal with it! 🤠

Life with former ferals: two steps forward, one step back. Last night both babies slept on the bed with me all night 🛌 Today, this one had a lil poo nugget stuck on his fuzzy bum and would NOT let me help him with that 💩🙀 And so it goes. #tinykittensalumni #tnr #adoptdontshop

They're settling in really well. Resiliency!

Getting to know each other's quirks and habits. Corn has decided that anytime I'm in the kitchen, that means food for cats. Alas, it does not. Eden loves the green wormy. Corn loves the stick the wormy is attached to. Sometimes, we all just hang out together enjoying the soft twilight time.

Two relaxed cats, ears up, watch the world going by outside.

These two love each other soooooo much. Not a great photo, but a great big canoodle. Also this morning: new level unlocked ... they can now go upstairs. More to explore!

I know, right!? I think he associates it with getting gaba, and he really doesn't like yucky gaba. Hence why he runs when the churu arrives? 🤔

Edenfields @edenfields.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Things we're learning: 1, the babies are very nocturnal; I am very diurnal. 2. Cornfields not only turns down Churu, he turns around and skedaddles under the bed when it's on offer 😱They loved the cat grass right down to the nubbins (time to plant more).

YES they are so soft and plush 🐑 I'll have to earn the snuggles!

Home safe! Eden has christened the litterbox. Both have had a snack and are sniffing every inch of the safe room. Corn is raring to see the rest of the place. Here are pics from our pre-adoption visit yesterday. Thank you, TK! 🫶

Adoption day minus 1. We got to visit 😺 Apparently I don't know how to get photos from my phone onto this post. Promise I'll post tomorrow night from home. Edenfields are 😍😍😍

He'll still be Cornfields, but I can already tell he's a cat with a gajillion nicknames 😸

[5] Herbert and I got through a lot together. He'll always be my dear tiny furry boyfriend. And he'll always be with me 💜

[4] I wasn't sure I was ready for cat companions again. But ... the cat distribution system has a way of bellowing your name when you least expect it. And you gotta reply.

Edenfields @edenfields.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

[3] He loved sunbeams, pooping in the catio, and coming to find me to tell me when it was time for bed every night. He tolerated combing. He was a Very Good Boy.

[2] Time passed. Life happened. He crossed the 🌈 bridge in April 2025, two months short of his 16th birthday. An aggressive cancer. It happened fast.

[1] His name was Herbert. He showed up when he was a few weeks old, crying under a parked pickup truck across the street one rainy evening.

Who's that adopter? Hi. You can call me Kittens McGee. Fun fact about me, I've never lived with a ginger cat before! Here's my last baby pre-Edenfields. (Details in the comments.) #adoptdontshop #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #spayandneuter #tnr #tinykittensalumni
