Spent yet another night in the presence of a screen legend: tonight at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures was the premiere of a beautiful 4K restoration of the 1980 film RESURRECTION, and the screening was preceded by a Q&A with the amazing Ellen Burstyn (a very lively 93 years old!).

RIP Tim Curry 💔 Last September 26, on the 50th anniversary of the US release of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, the Academy Museum hosted a rare Q&A with the legend himself. After a debilitating 2012 stroke, Curry had diminished mobility and speech, but he was as sharp and wonderfully witty as ever.

I’ve seen many musicians cover her songs in concert over the years, everyone from Japanese Breakfast to Kacey Musgraves, but I never got a chance to see Dolly Parton perform live. Rest in peace, Dolly. ❤️
