As a photographer, I thought it was important to see what is was like to be on the other side of the camera... Years ago I participated with the wonderful photographer @dcsavoie.bsky.social on this light painting concept shoot as the dead guy on the floor! 😉 My experience as a "model"!

Very true… in any case for me it’s just a question that more models are on IG ☺️

No you’re absolutely right that the more people there are the more will be « offended » by everything they personally don’t like and pressure might be added to censor but I do hope it won’t be the case

In my case it's more a question of showing my work to a specific audience of possible models since that's where I find most of the models that I collab with (or they find me) for the rest, I don't really care and the interactions a wayyyy better and more meaningful here! 🙂

I try not to think about it too much... Will drive me insane if I do! lol

Our opinions see to be pretty compatible! 😂

Totally agree! Also Facebook seems intent on making stupid changes to the platform that make things worst and they seem to change things just to change things... Even things that work well

Well the reach in IG is still better than here sadly... That being said, for the DMs, they are better if you both follow one another but if not you're pretty much screwed. The DM is sent to the "message requests" and if the other doesn't see and answer your message request you can't send more ever

I think not including adult work as a default in the filters is probably a good thing, my problem is that art nudes are being systematically labeled as adult images which is not the case... I say leave the default filters but stop adding the adult label automatically

Eric Daoust @edaoust.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

Guess I had the advantage that when I joined I already knew people here that posted nudes and I realized very quickly that I couldn't see their work and therefore guessed that it affected others looking at my page as well! 😉

I do use Instagram, stopped posting on FB long ago since it's just not worth the effort (so, like you, I use it to keep in touch) and as for Twitter, I definitely will not encourage that platform!

It really is ridiculous... I guess it's still less of an issue than getting your account banned for posting art like on other sites... I kind of decided to pick my battles! 🙂
