THE IMAGINARY PERKS OF HIGHER EDUCATION // aventio In which the IPC just can’t seem to convince Veritas Ratio to join the Intelligentsia Guild, so they deploy Aventurine to a tiny university city-state, where he must charm the good doctor into their fold. 👉 archiveofourown.org/works/558412...

Teacher/student gentle bdsm Ratiorine is eating my brain right now… scrappy teenage Aventurine trying to seduce his private tutor is just so spicy… God, I love a power imbalance where the younger one is just ruining the older one’s life 😌 cw: age gap, adult-teenage relationship #ratiorine #nsfw

NSFW suggestive fic snippet with discussion of pederasty:

“Perhaps this will come as a surprise to you,” Ratio said, casting his gaze down Aventurine’s body, “but on my home planet, it is not uncommon for boys of your age to take up with men of mine. The eromenos and the erastes. Although an antiquated practice, it is still considered by many to be a right of passage. Others find it vulgar.”

His face was almost blank, not betraying any hint of his own feelings on the matter.

“How do you find it?” Aventurine was deathly curious, all but holding his breath for the answer.

Ratio’s expression shifted to something almost stricken as he took a knee on the edge of the bed and leaned over Aventurine’s body. He threaded his fingers through the hair at Aventurine’s temple, tucking it with care behind his ear.

“I was always the boy,” Ratio said, another strange look passing across his fine features. A longing, mournful thing, but also a guilty thing. “I never imagined I would see myself become the man.”

NSFW suggestive fic snippet with discussion of pederasty:

No wonder Ratio knew how to treat him, at times seeming like he almost understood. Aventurine wet his lips, gaze traveling over Ratio’s unfairly handsome face. He wanted to kiss him again. He wanted so much more than that.

“You won’t hurt me.”

Ratio’s mouth twitched, wry. “I believe that is what I told him, as well.”

Aventurine had a sudden, hot flash of vicious, homicidal fury. Ratio must have seen it in his face, for he raised a brow.

“It’s long in the past, you needn’t be jealous.”

Aventurine had already opened his mouth to respond but that left him sputtering. “What? Jealous!? No, idiot, I want to murder whatever sick bastard made you regret those words.”

Ratio seemed somewhat taken aback by this. He settled back onto the bed properly, gazing at Aventurine as he went on an entire face journey. In any other context, it would have been hilarious. “Ah. I confess, I have harbored similar thoughts regarding your own prior situation.”

“That’s why I know you won’t hurt me,” Aventurine insisted, rising from where he’d been resting on an elbow so he could look Ratio in the eye. “Not just because we share a taste for vengeance, but because you know I’ve already killed a man for trying to ruin my life, and you’ll be next if you do the same.”

that’s one of my fav parts of hsr. like moving onto a new planet isn’t like “oh well goodbye characters until a random event” it’s like you enter penacony and BAM, hey sampo. it’s just so cool…
