I’m proud to be an Australian tonight. We chose Unity over Racism and so we All win. Congrats Albo for another term 🇦🇺🌏🦘

She sounds familiar, the same actor??

Someone has to pay for the billionaires tax cut! How do Trumpcult supporters not see they are funding this from their own pockets? 😜

Hey Pete, I have uncles, a grandfatherand great grandfather who fought for and with the USA. As an Australian I’m now concerned that we may no longer have the backing of the US if threatened. Are we still safe?

Wow that is next level, Elon really is a sick racist…

If Russia wants peace, they should end the invasion.

The surviving descendant of two Ukrainian families murdered by Nazis. Volodymyr Zelensky. Today, he leads his outmanned, outgunned, ferociously defiant nation against the onslaught of Russia. Zelensky, the survivor of survivors, summons the resilience of his ancestors. He does not bend.

But drones and air defence from Ukraine and Europe in the next 10 years instead- we will be far more protected than from a few US big clunky subs that future Chinese drones will easily take out

That would be ideal if it were not for the carbon and methane emissions Earth itself releases during the current rapid warming?

Yep that’s their plan and if Labour and the Greens don’t take off the gloves and toughen up - that is what we will get…

Bang on George once again. When I saw Kamala’s joy driven campaign I was pretty sure the hate whipped up by the MAGA cult would overrun it - and sadly hate one once again

Umair I think there is also a problem with Western ‘survivalism’ which is a war with and dominate nature construct rather than the indigenous ‘Relationalism’ which is viewing nature as part of oneself

030

Damien Melotte @ecoresonance.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

Lol 😂. Check this out an interesting read - better than Aristotle!

000

Damien Melotte @ecoresonance.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

Damn straight..I’ve been studying Australian Indigenous knowledge systems for a bit and Aunty Mary Graham describes an Eudaemonic paradigm, the ‘Relationalist ethos’ - a system that values societal and nature relationships over transactions. What’s best for Country (nature) also sorts conflict.

Ok nice, so if both climate change and the rise of fascism stem from broken economic systems, what kind of economic or societal restructuring may address both issues simultaneously? Are there historical or contemporary examples of societies successfully shifting away from this ‘collapse cycle’ ?

041

Damien Melotte @ecoresonance.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

Hey Umair a long time fan since your early ‘futurist’ twitter days 😀 Is the swing to the right and what appears to be societal collapse linked to climate change. If so, how and why? Can we turn it around as a species? Stay awesome amongst the gloom - Cheers D

So true - we can collectively change the future with all of our actions today - don’t ever give up 🦖🌿🦘

Great article thanks for sharing

Damien Melotte @ecoresonance.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

I agree totally in principle but the reality is that fear is a stronger human driver than care or ‘joy’ - the background to all this is climate change and the global social destabilisation this brings - go left yes, but go hard

120

Damien Melotte @ecoresonance.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

There is a much bigger swing to the right in Australia than softie Albo realises… people are doing it tough- they are tired and pissed - They see the world getting angrier- so they form gangs with others who feel the same. Fear politics, powerful and so difficult to enable ethical choices

Absolutely Crazy times for lack of care about Life on Earth… but you have to laugh at this one

The pain to human and non human life, unchallenged highly visible corruption and pace of the unfettered rise of autocracy 😡

000

Damien Melotte @ecoresonance.bsky.social · 10/02/2025

Yes agree 💯 Biodiversity and life on earth is already our paradise- it’s utterly unimaginable that we choose the accumulation of junk over its preservation

This kind of BS thinking is a lot bigger of a problem in Australia than is currently understood. The Union’s for example, typical Labour heartlands, are haemorrhaging to the far right.

Heartbreaking 🙁 Imagine what we would do to protect just one of these birds if it was found on Mars…

I rarely eat red meat but when I do it’s kangaroo. Finger lime satay 🌿😋🌶️ As with many native food industries Australia needs to increase the acknowledgement and involvement of Traditional Owners in the industry. #TONFABS A great article www.sustainabletable.org.au/journal/kang...

Can we lower taxes on the humble Cobbler so they can be more competitive with shoe repair pricing and place a disposal tax on ‘single use’ footwear?

Every night I tell an impromptu story to my kids. Tonight was about a wolf family looking for the moon, rain clouds obscured their view so they worked with different animals with different skills to find a solution. I’m not a writer but I love storytelling.

He would be better feeding the Orange Narcissist by making a video on how he can’t wait for more ‘really lit’ US weapons from powerful President Trump from frozen Russian assets and that US fossil fuels should power Europe…

010

Damien Melotte @ecoresonance.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

Really well said Darth Putin. BTW How are the kids?

Wind and Solar energy infrastructure support should be a new NATO security act. Remove fossil fuel driven power, control and manipulation.

The scary thing is that I know of a few relatively intelligent people (an architect) who believe in this loony conspiracy theory. I’m puzzled why paranoid people blame others to justify BAU instead of increasing collaboration for action on climate change, biosphere protection and regeneration.
