1:59 into OT the #LetsGoOilers D out worked for the puck and it leads to a goal for the Nucks. I'm sorry but the #Oilers goaltending and defense really needs to be better. A wasted 5 points for Bouchard. At least the team got a point but that shouldn't have happened.

Jay finally made a real save but it took him to OT to do so. #LetsGoOilers

Podkolzin tires the game with a wicked laser to the top corner. Assists to Drai and Bouchard. Let's give Bouch the Norris now. #LetsGoOilers and the Nucks heading to OT

Under 2 to go and the Nucks called for a weak slashing penalty. #LetsGoOilers go to the PP

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 23h

Kapinen called for high sticking with 4:20 to go but the Nucks kill almost a minute on the delayed penalty. #LetsGoOilers just not getting it done.

Not sure about the rest of you but I cringe anytime the puck is remotely close to Jarry. #LetsGoOilers

And 24 seconds later, Bouchard gets the hat trick and narrows the gap to 5-4. 3 goals and an assist tonight for Bouch. #LetsGoOilers trying to outscore their defending and goaltending

110

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Podkolzin finally makes a chance count. 11 minutes to go and the #LetsGoOilers now trail 5-3

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

And to make matters worse, Joseph takes a high sticking penalty with 15 minutes to go. And of course it takes 10 seconds to score. #LetsGoOilers are still dogshit. I don't care if it is game 1 of the season, 5 goals against on 16 shots is bush league

141

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

That's game. #LetsGoOilers defense and goaltending again get beat. Just Brutal. Trailing 4-2 with 17 minutes to go. Different coach and system but the same brutal goaltending and defensive lapses.

110

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Early in the third and Jarry is caught napping. Brutal freaking goaltending. The #LetsGoOilers are again trailing. OMG, the goaltending just can't be giving up those goals.

030

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

5:26 to go in the second and McDavid sets up Bouchard to tie the game at 2. Formenton with the second assist for the #LetsGoOilers. Good back hand to forehand move by Bouch there.

110

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I love the way Podkolzin plays but he had had 3 open shots. He really needs to make better use of his chances especially with the Shakey goaltending at the #LetsGoOilers end.

120

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Open breakaway for the Nucks early in the second and again Jarry can't make the save. 6 shots and 2 goals against is not a good start to the season for the #LetsGoOilers goaltending

211

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

The first period of the new season for the #LetsGoOilers is in the books. Outshot the Nucks 13-5 with 2 PPs but it is tied at 1. Need to figure out Lankinen.

131

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

3:34 to go in the first and Bouchard with the perfect shot from the Blueline with Hyman screening in front ties the game for the #LetsGoOilers

040

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

A SHG goal for Vancouver with the #LetsGoOilers on the PP. Yes it was a good shot but here we go again with the goalie not making those critical saves. The Nucks getting those early saves and the one on Drai set up that SHG.

001

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Vincent Blanchard breaks a CFL record with 9 FGs and yet the #LetsGoElks almost piss the game away. One additional TD and they win without OT. Kilham and his coaches need to get their shit together before their last 3 games.

011

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

O'Leary-Orange needs to sit on the bench. 2 wide open missed catches have been critical misses on both #LetsGoElks

010

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

#LetsGoElks are only in this game because of Blanchard who is 7/7 for field goals tonight. Overtime we go. Maybe the #Elks should try scoring a TD but another FG and a victory would be ok.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

The #LetsGoElks are doing everything they can to piss this game away.

110

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Holy crap. The #LetsGoElks actually know how to score a TD. Who knew? After the last 7 quarters I thought they had psyched themselves out.

110

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

5 freaking field goals for the #LetsGoElks in the first half. That's it. It's the reason they lost last week. They just can't score TDs. Good thing they are playing the Ticats. They need to figure their offense back out and soon. At least they are leading 15-10

100

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

The only part of the offense that is again working for the #LetsGoElks is Vincent Blanchard. 4/4 again today. The rest of the offense keeps shooting itself in the for with bad plays or penalties.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

#LetsGoElks offense also picking up where they left off last week. Move the ball down the field then stick and kick fieldgoals

020

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

#LetsGoElks defense picking up where they left off last week... Sucking

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

And with 19 seconds to go and the #LetsGoElks in the red zone and Fajardo throws an interception. After a great game last week, the #Elks sucked all the good out of that game with the way they played today. A very winnable game they flat out gave away.

110

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

The #LetsGoElks defense give the team one more chance to win with 1:31 to go

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

The #LetsGoElks with a chance with under 3 minutes to play and the offensive line decides to take some time off. Absolutely brutal protection when it's needed.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Washington has done a great job of returning kicks today for the #LetsGoElks.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

The #LetsGoElks offense had also had some issues today. They move the ball then either big themselves down of give it away. 3 times in the red zone they've had to kick field goals and another time they threw an interception.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

2nd at three from the Argo's 4 yard line and you try a pass to the back of the endzone? What a stupid play call. Fajardo throws a interception and the #LetsGoElks still trail by 8 instead of one or tied at the end of the third quarter. Too many mistakes this game

100

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Then the #LetsGoElks promptly give up a fumble on a high snap that goes for a TD Argos. Someone check the #Elks centers betting apps. That was a brutal snap.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

The #LetsGoElks are lucky that Kelly has a propensity to throw interceptions as well as TDs. The #Elks have 2 picks today and the last one was in the end zone

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

What the hell is the #LetsGoElks defensive backs doing today? They have been torched for numerous long pass today. At least 5 that I can remember. All 48 yards out more.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

#LetsGoElks almost get to Kelly but force him to scramble. The defensive backs go to sleep and the Argos get a TD to take back the lead. Brutal defending all around there. Kelly should have been caught.

100

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

So the Argo player punches the #LetsGoElks player and the #Elks player retaliates. The Argo player gets 15 yards and the #Elks player gets 15 for the penalty, 15 for a disqualification and is out of the game. How do 2 players doing the same thing get substantially different penalties? That's brutal

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

#LetsGoElks defense is getting torched right now. 2 plays for long gains they have given up and a roughing the passer penalty. That's some brutal defending by the backs.

001

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

#LetsGoElks best defense in the league only needed 2 plays to give up a TD. Hmmm.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Looks like Robustelli cut his route off and Fajardo puts it where he was supposed to be. FG for the #LetsGoElks on their opening drive.

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I can honestly say that I would not have bet on #LetsGoElks to win this game. Totally outplayed for most of the game but scored 24 points in the 4th quarter. Consider the rust knocked off. Always great to beat the Calgary teams

030

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Rankin does nothing all game but breaks a 50 yard run with 4 minutes to go for a touchdown and the #LetsGoElks take the lead

010

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Powell has been shaky catching points today but he has done ok rushing and finally gets a great return for the #LetsGoElks

010

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

#LetsGoElks need to replace Robustelli. They get him and today he has had clear catches ripped out of his hands. Good receivers don't allow that once a catch is made

221

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

#LetsGoElks D falls asleep and get beat by a long pass. Trailing 11-0 with the offense not having the ball more than 2 plays in a series so far today. They need to shake that rust off in a hurry

010

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Wow, the #LetsGoElks offense looks totally out of sync. 5 2 and outs to start the game. I'm sure in those 5 series they are lucky if they have a combined 15 yards of offense.

011

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

The #LetsGoElks are playing like a team that has been off for 16 days. Getting zero done on offense and a penalty on the one play they did get something done

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

Well that was a pretty good second half for the #LetsGoElks. Blanchard with a last play FG to win 22-19. They trailed at one point 16-0. Resilient team for sure now 8-3 going to the bye week. #GoElks #Elks

000

Martin Male 🇨🇦 @eclecticblogs.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

#LetsGoElks marching the ball again and Grant drops an easy pass that would have been a first down. #GoElks settle for a FG to take the lead.
