You know who we need most when companies overreach and desperately need reminding of their place? People who are already spending their cash on said company. I would love to start a Cancel Your Nitro Membership and Pass Along the Sentiment train. Just cancelled mine. Join me ✨ 🌹

Discord is going to reintroduce Global Age Verification, which restricts teen accounts.
Teens will face several limitations:
- Blocked access to NSFW channels and servers
- Sensitive media automatically blurred in chats and direct messages
- Mandatory message requests for incoming texts
- Restricted speaking access in Stage Channels
To lift these restrictions, unverified adults can confirm their age via one of the following options:
- Credit Card checks via k-ID x Stripe
- Official ID through k-ID
- Selfie
- Google Wallet

I haven't seen gameoverse but I found the controversy about kit being "goonerbait" particularly strange, bc if you just translate that into plain english, you realize people were complaining about kit being attractive- as if movies and shows haven't had attractive leads since forever

For anyone living in the UK, the government will be forced to re-address the issue of payment processors banning the buying/selling of LEGAL content if this reaches 100k! Spread this around petition.parliament.uk/petitions/73...

petition.parliament.uk

Petition: Ban payment processors stopping services based on objections to legal content

Government should legislate that payment processing companies may not place stipulations on use of their services regarding sales of otherwise legal content and, if they do so, must face legal penalti...

This means Mastercard in particular is actively afraid of people bringing up Riot's connection to them negatively. I think people should raid Riot's official livestreams and start spamming things like: "#SaveSpeech from Mastercard!" "MASTERCARD HATES THIS --> (.)(.)" "#stopkillinggames" and more

A Stripe rep hung up on me when they realized they told me they're disallowing "LGBTQ content" in transactions, so either they're slipping up more or just being more honest about their real intentions. Keep the pressure up, keep calling, maybe start recording what they're telling you.

Hey if you hate censorship and want to do more than just doompost online, you can actually do something: Being annoying! Hoards of people have been blowing up the phones of payment processing companies to pressure them not to bend to the whims of puritan groups. stop-paypros.neocities.org

Cartoon monster lady, Sue, in a "Don't Stop Calling T-shirt, pointing at a personification of "puritan activist groups" looming over a personification of "payment processor"

Sue's Dialogue: YOOHOO! These motherfuckers think they can pick and choose what you do with your own money. You wouldn't let them do that, would you?

Time to post it again.

A meme from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. In the top panel, one man labeled "literally every company" hands a plate labeled "AI" to a man labeled "me." In the bottom panel, the man labeled "me" nonchalantly tosses the plate down the hallway, discarding it with casual disdain while the first man watches.
