Been working my way through some Moonstone minis for the first time. For some reason I'm struggling with getting this smooth and how I want them to look on these ones. #miniaturepainting

More progress on the White Wizard. What's the deal with screaming skull? Ever pot I get gets little annoying paint pebbles that end up on my minis, I have to go back and pick them off and try to smooth things out. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammerofficial #gamesworkshop #lordoftherings

A little more progress on Gandalf. Blends are a little smoother but will see when it is all finished to what needs to be pushed further. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #gamesworkshop #warhammerofficial

A little bit more work on Gandalf and really not happy with how it is going. Think need to sit face to face with someone and they can tell me what the hell I am doing wrong when I'm glazing for it to look so shit. #warhammer #warhammercommunity

Really tempted to go back to this one and make tweaks to the base. Think it takes away from the whole thing. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #gamesworkshop

It's WIP Wednesday, I have my Gandalfs primed but haven't started yet. Still counts as a WIP 🤣 What's everybody else working on? #warhammer #warhammercommunity

Does this then mean that you shouldn't be using terrain from a 3rd party like TTcombat? Or am I just misunderstanding that?

I never actually posted any finished pictures of my Red Gobbo for this year. Good fun. #warhammer #warhammercommunity

I have only ever painted 1 Eldar before but it was one of my favourites. Really tempted by these new sculpts but would like to get more like this one. Love the cape and armour. the whole fantasy/sci fi combination fits me nicely. #warhammercommunity #warhammer

It's worse in person. I tried with the pink skin tones but might try a more scarlet colour but a lot thinner

Alex Kelly @eck-paints.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

Started with burgundy and worked up from that with flesh tones and ivory. No blue involved at all. Same skin tones I always use, but for some reason today they have gone weird

Alex Kelly @eck-paints.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

Don't know what the hell is going on with my skin tones. No green was involved yet they look green? Also consistency has gone right out the window on this model, bugger knows what has happened there. So clumpy and horrific looking. #paintingminiatures #miniaturepainting #paintingminis #minipainting

For all the new #warhammer hobbyists out there, don't let your imagination be limited by others. The #miniatures are a plastic representation of a fictional world, not the fabric of reality. So paint what you want to paint, hobby how you want to hobby. #warhammer40k #paintingwarhammer
