Does hibernate count? Desktop PC with Win10 and I hate having to open up all my applications again after rebooting.

Windows task manager showing an uptime of 38 days, 18 hours, 19 minutes and 23 seconds. I'm not sure if it counts the time it spends in hibernation. Probably not.

Yup, down to 8 seconds by naively distributing each font of a typeface to a separate thread. This is for multiple typefaces with up to 6 styles each and Latin + Japanese character sets taken from a localization file.

I mostly just like knowing what is going on under the hood. That knowledge helps a lot with working on the higher level stuff regular engines expose to users. Suddenly certain behaviors or API choices make sense. Or you find a good reason to despise them ("what were they thinking??").

Making a game without an (established) engine creates a special kind of paranoia when bugs are brought to your attention. Sometimes it's an AMD input assembler bug in drivers from 2021 and prior coming back again and again. Sometimes I actually just wrote some bullshit. Today it was the former :)
