Alice Ball made chaulmoogra oil into a leprosy treatment the body could absorb. She died in 1916, aged 24, unpublished, and the papers that followed never named her. In 1922 the doctor who asked her printed two words: Ball's method. #HerHistory

Aubrey Dameron was 25, a Cherokee Nation citizen and a transgender woman. She left her mother's house near Grove, Oklahoma on 9 March 2019. Her phone pinged 100 yards away, then nothing. She was found in January 2025. No cause of death has ever been released. Quapaw Nation Marshals 918-238-3137
