Turning 31 today. Feeling very bleh about it. Gotta turn this shit around. Spend the rest of the year locking in.

Finished a run of Esoteric Ebb. Enjoyed it, felt it was a lighter read compared to Disco Elysium. Don't mean that in a bad way but I dunno exactly how to put it. It has builds to do multiple runs but I cheated at so many options that I don't know what I'd do differently to see more. Worth the money.

Going by which mon I grabbed when I first booted up each game and tbh not even thinking about revising my choices I'm simply a fucking genius.

Skong Act 3 done, I'll scrape up that last 4% one day but it was really good. Enjoyed pretty much every bit of it more than HK. Tighter areas, quests whip ass, moveset is way more engaging. Act 3 not as bad as I thought it would be, outside of the the spinny bug boss.

Found what seems to be the strongest skill in skong after killing every boss in act 2. Act 3 better be violent or I'm gonna act up.

Monkey Man. This whipped ass. I can't say anything about a lot of it but this was so good at making me feel uncomfortable and cathartic basically as soon as it wanted me to. Very fun to watch a bit more wild fighting after 4 movies that felt very coordinated and clean.

"So what are you gonna do about this, Monkey Man?" He's gonna kill a sizeable number of people.

John Wick Chapter 4. Dunno how they could have ended it better tbh. I'm trying to write something down but I am struggling to articulate how I feel after watching the whole thing so close together. Really worth a watch. I'd be more excited for Chapter 5 if I knew wick was fr dead tbh.

John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum. Still funny, still really good action. There's at least one thing they introduced that's very much in "don't think about it too hard" territory for me but otherwise the ending feels like a really good setup to the next movie.

Nobody stared off into space and said "Oh" this movie so I had to abandon the bit, sorry, here's a middle finger.

Fireworks ➡️ Locking in? idk. @ecfireworks.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

John Wick: Chapter 2. Holy shit this is way funnier than the first one. Action holds up, the ending sets itself up for a sequel way more than the first. If I were thinking of fucking with John Wick in any way I'd just change my mind tbh, dunno what's wrong with everyone in these movies.

This guy just found out exactly what's coming for him.

John Wick. Honestly I'd do the same shit fr fr. This movie is about having friends and following rules, and it's really fucking good god damn. Excited to finally watch 2 and 3 before rewatching 4.

A man's response to someone else's huge mistake.

Dark Souls 3 main game run 2. I haven't done a dex run yet so I sliced everything up with some katanas. I tried to also do int but the starting sorcs feel so bad I didn't want to try to last til endgame ones. I still like it BUT I understand why people wouldn't be so hot on it now, after playing 1+2

Dark Souls 2 run 1 done. A lot of little things that are an upgrade from 1 but a bunch of the areas are mad annoying, more than the og so I decided I can't really say it's better. Still pretty fun regardless. This also means I finally beat every main game of the trilogy. Gonna replay 3 next. GGs.

DSR mostly done, gotta do the dlc. Dumbass thought I could kindle the bonfire for warping and linked the flame. Anyway I really enjoy Fromsoft world design and even if I think the start of these games sucks ass every time, eventually I pick up good items and it's like smoking crack until credits. GG

Beat the big bad of cassette beasts, probably not going to shoot for any 100% goals anytime soon cause it sure is a lot! Pretty good beast catcher, although one of the mechanics trivialized what were supposed to be tougher fights but that's fine. I feel like a sequel would go crazy with some tweaks.

#FireWorks mfin French toast. It tastes fine but I really wanna clean up how uneven they cook, the first two feel so easy to burn and the last to take forever to brown. I'll grab another loaf of brioche and some powdered sugar this weekend and see if I can't do it up nice for the third try.

Finished Octopath Traveler 2. Really fuckin good. Started a lil bit slowly for me so it took a while to really get into it but once I was in there every time I stopped playing I was like "man I should play a little more".

Clair Obscur done! Beautiful game, full marks for everything 'cept I wasn't really jiving with the dodge/parry combat until I got tools to do dummy shit to reduce how often I let the enemy play at all. Looking forward to what the studio does next.

Got the basic ending of Hollow Knight. Dropped it a long ass time ago cause it felt kinda like a slog to go through, coming back to it cause I don't think my initial impression was fair. I definitely like it more but it is still a game I had to play in measured portions.

#FireWorks Finished this headboard in just under 6 hours. I'm not a perfectionist but I can't help but be bothered by the spots that aren't quite flush or don't fit just right. Wonder how much of it is user error and how much is the fact that I bought low end. Oh well?

Pseudoregalia done. Short lil platformer. Controls very well, music is good, looks cool. It's 6 bucks not on sale, worth your money if you wanna play around with a pretty good set of shmoovement abilities.
