I got extremely distracted and designed a brand new chassis for Iron Dragoons, the Kuramura. I wanted to go heavier on the anime end of the mech aesthetics, and I think it broadly succeeds.

Comics is a tough job, with long hours, little pay, and often abusive conditions. Osamu Tezuka's last words were "I'm begging you, let me work".

Even those who "make it" often end up broke, broken, or both. So why bother at all? This panel shows two Kirbyesque beings fighting.

I've got it pretty sweet. I'm not famous, but I draw what I want, when I want, and I get paid to do it! Not much, but still... This panel depicts my penguin self-portrait pulling a fish bone out of a trash can while wearing a Heathcliff hat.

"Success" or "Failure" ain't nothing but what you think they are. Just gotta do it for the love of the game. This panel depicts my penguin self-portrait getting beaned with a brick, a la Krazy Kat.
