Is it just me or has shrinkflation done stuff to oatmeal packets? Could've sworn they made up into a full bowl when I was a kid. Of all the things where the ingredients are cheap enough that they shouldn't need to.

New lizard in one of his favorite hiding nooks. He hides a lot -- I think it's instinctive bc he's dropped his tail. Thought he was albino at first...now I think he's a bit short of that, but still a good bit lighter than most of his cousins around here. Still figuring out a name, any suggestions?

If you're a Mediterranean House Gecko and you fall off a door inside and get chased by cats, this is an unexpectedly good outcome. (He's hanging out in the plastic pseudococonut hut.)

Terrarium with dirt in the bottom, a bunch of grass and a few other sprouts, a couple small stone bowlish things, a thing that looks like half a coconut with a mousehole style door, and deep bark texture up the back suitable for small lizards to climb on. It has recently been sprayed for moisture levels, so the glass and plants have droplets all over and the stones have a shiny water layer.

New lizard, who dis? * albino Mediterranean house gecko * got into the house and chased by two of my cats, during which dropped his tail * between being albino and the tail, is super vulnerable to predators, so I think it's in his best interest to be a pet instead of put back out

Trying to make a dental floss holder but the floss keeps loosening up when I try to use it. Anyone have ideas for how to get it to stay tight?

Repair progress pic Not bad for one round of not knowing what I'm doing, I think. (Procedure as I understand/applied it: scuff around the scratches with superfine [1500] sandpaper, then rub in mink oil/beeswax/lanolin mixture.)

The same padfolio as in the referenced post, but the scratches are much less prominent.

Local weather: ambient temperature still below freezing, but radiant energy is partially melting the icicles that are hanging off every ende and stick, so they re-freeze together into for example this gnarly thing.

Scrap paper of calculations. The exact numbers are unimportant but they show that the number of ballots received at a polling place is 526 and so is the number of ballots accounted for at the end of the night, i.e. things are how they should be.

I found a 20 pack (~a year's supply depending on dust levels, from what I can gather) for $5.99. How in the absolute procreational act do they think it's OK to not even tell people that avoiding this is an option?

Two small rectangular filters, one very used, the other fresh for comparison purposes, demonstrating the difference between the two. When I say very used, I'm not saying you could grow carrots or potatoes in the dirt on the old one, but something lighter on the roots like a nice cherry tomato vine is not out of the question.
