UK Govt data suggests that lowering urban speed limits isn't just needed around schools and hospitals.

Drivers-when you are looking down towards your knees instead of looking at the road ahead, hoping that no-one can see you using your phone. Just so you know, we all know you're on your phone. Stop it.

Here in the UK, my ebike is limited to 15.5mph with pedal assist but I can buy a BMW with the speed limiter only coming into effect at 155mph. Would love someone from government explain this.

There has to be a point where the parents who purchase "electric" motorbikes for their children are culpable for any injuries.

It sets the expectation for all RR drivers to aspire to.

How worrying is it that 25% think its a good idea. 25%! Even 1% would be a concern.

Whatever the set limit is, many will exceed it intentionally or unintentionally. The reduction of the speed limit in many but not all urban areas to 20mph in Wales has helped reduce speeds. Many still exceed the 20 limit but data says that speeds are generally lower.

Without any shred of evidence, I suspect this wasn't the first time he drunk and drove. This incident just happened to be the first time he was caught.

Would a person who recklessly misused a shotgun in a public place ever get their gun licence back or even escape jail?

Not just Oxford, think you'd find examples everywhere. I wonder if there's there a correlation between bad parking, SUV's and entitlement?

According to DfT data published in 2025, in 30mph areas, 47% of cars, 45% of vans, 57% of motorcycles and particularly worryingly 34% artic lorries all break the speed limit. I suspect that the people complaining about 20mph limits dont adhere to any of the posted limits.

How are these larger SUV's getting favourable NCAP ratings when their size, weight, braking distance, front end design are minimising children pedestrians limited chance of survival if hit? Surely they should be getting a 1 star at best?
