Morning #RunningPunks. After the two-week Carnival takeover, the park is ours again for BoC #ParkRun. 🎉 Managed to spot someone I know with a great consistent pace and did my best to keep up. Random shuffle on ParkRun playlist making excellent choices today 🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. Beautiful out there yet again this morning. The usual loop again today but anticlockwise. It’s going to take a while to get a sub-50 10k in that direction as the uphills are insidiously shallower, but it’ll get there. Positive tunes from Frank Turner - Be More Kind 🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. I actually stuck to my plan for just a gentle and short run for a change. Quite nice and cool out there but pretty misty and humid. Throwback tunes from Life Sex & Death - The Silent Majority 🤘

Afternoon #RunningPunks. Unenthusiastic and unmotivated are evidently the necessary ingredients for me at the moment. Set off half-hearted but just let the tunes of Enter Shikari boost me along. Wet and grim, but it just added to the manic glory of it. 🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. Felt tired and unmotivated so I originally planned for a short jaunt, but I just got caught up in the glorious sweep of The Cure - Songs Of A Lost World and just went with it… And with all that relaxation came the pace that I’ve been stressing that I’d never get back again🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. Chose a flat there-and-back-again route this morning to see if I could up the pace a bit. Turns out yes I can but only for the first half. Too hard and fast too early meant a slog on the return leg. Good tunes though from The Wildhearts - 30 Year Itch 🤘

Evening #RunningPunks. Hills session with the Dengie 100 crowd. Probably the last time we can manage to do the cliff in the evenings as sunset’s now about 7pm. A bit of blues from Gary Moore on the way there and back, but just a bit of chat and a LOT of panting during the session itself 🤘

Evening #RunningPunks. Between a weekend of pirate shenanigans then several full days in the office, I’ve had to neglect running a bit so I was glad to get out tonight and treat myself to the last of the evening sky, reflections on the river, and a random selection of Ginger Wildheart’s GASS tunes 🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. My plan to switch up my route was hampered early on when I found the usual rail crossing padlocked. Ended up taking a shorter route down to the river front and discovered yesterday’s relentless downpour has made the paths “fun”. Tunes from Alice Cooper - Hey Stoopid 🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. Apparently I wasn’t on the rota for marshalling BoC #ParkRun today. Really didn’t think I was in the right mindset for running it, but I was in the right kit, so… Turns out that relaxing in the middle of the pack made me go faster than I have done since the start of the year 🤘

Morning #RunningPunks. Decided it was time to try for a bit more distance and I was assuming I could probably manage about 7 or 8 miles, but managed nearly 11 before my body wanted to stop. Then my mind started bullying my body about how it was only a couple more miles for a HM, so we slogged on 🤘

Evening #RunningPunks. Hills session with the Dengie 100 Runners, although “hill” is a bit of a misnomer for a 300m slight incline. Still, the aim was to try and sustain steady pace uphill and down, which largely looked like it worked. Old school metal from Helloween on the way there and back. 🤘
