Continuously until it thickens and comes to a boil. Wear a glove because it might pop and spit. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat add butter and stir until fully melted and smooth. Add vanilla. I did 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 tsp vanilla bean paste. Pour through fine mesh strainer into 2/?

It did :). 2T or 1 oz butter, set aside 2 tsp vanilla, set aside 1/3 C sugar 2T cornstarch 1/8 tsp table salt Whisk together put in minimum 1 qt pot. 2C milk 2 egg yolks Beat together. Add egg/milk mixture to put with dry ingredients. Stir to thoroughly combine. Cook over medium stirring 1/?

Finally found fresh rhubarb in the store today. I now have a strawberry rhubarb blueberry crisp cooling on the stove. Blueberries are a new add to my usual recipe but they needed to be used so... Also I bake my crumble topping first so it stays nice and crisp after assembly and final baking.
