Years ago (20?) I measured my apc ups and found it constantly trickle charged it's gel cell batteries, which killed them faster so we'd have to replace them, and that made me mad and I'm still irrationally bitter about it. I haven't bought an apc in ages.

Oh, this one I know about personally. I live right next to the expansion. The city council announced a vote and then voted against the extension in less than one day, giving nobody time to react. My counsil lady was the only one to vote yes. It smelled heavily of outside money.
