probably just best to not try to shell out a bunch of money making a bunch of stuff at once hoping it'll do big numbers knowing how fan vs original stuff tends to get consumed, I figure. I hope I'm making some kind of sense, lol

010

💙 DYNAMO-DEEPBLUE 💙 @dynamo-deepblue.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

It is, orz. I feel like for me personally at least, if I make original stuff it's always something to fall back on! plus if I do both then ppl will at least catch a glimpse of my originals if they go to my shop looking for fan merch, so it's at least on their radar. that's my theory anyway

💙 DYNAMO-DEEPBLUE 💙 @dynamo-deepblue.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

the last time I made something original was in..... 2021 💀 I think I wanna try again. make something not bound to an existing IP as the main course and then have the fan stuff be there too but with less of a focus. I feel like this is the right move. ofc I gotta actually DRAW the stuff but yeah

Man I've been thinking. What if I make original merch, with fan merch on the side

I realize posts like this don't really look good considering I just bumped my commission ad but this has been a year-long thing and summer has been so rough for me financially. doing a lot of crying this morning

100

💙 DYNAMO-DEEPBLUE 💙 @dynamo-deepblue.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Having to post constantly about commissions stresses me out so much and has ruined my relationship with my art if I'm being totally honest. merch would be nice for passive income if I had new stuff, but again. no money

110

💙 DYNAMO-DEEPBLUE 💙 @dynamo-deepblue.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

even if I wanted to make new merch right now, that costs money that I don't have, and after I got basically no traction on my ita bag preorders here (in part due to my poor planning, admittedly...) I'm just not even sure it's something I'll be able to do again this year unless I get really lucky

if Viera were this fluffy in game... my god... the art is spectacular, btw!

000

💙 DYNAMO-DEEPBLUE 💙 @dynamo-deepblue.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Also I'm just plain indecisive about what to show, especially when I have certain ones I really like. I really take pride in my ability to draw so many different kinds of characters, and my colors, and my poses... Editing my websites for this stresses me out more than it probably should though

030

💙 DYNAMO-DEEPBLUE 💙 @dynamo-deepblue.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I wonder often if it's obvious I can draw a wide range of characters, bc I always feel the need to include a ton of examples of my art when someone wants to see it or wants a comm, but I feel like it might seem too much when there's like 16 examples of a certain type... I feel like I could condense

Would anyone be interested in acrylic badges like these? They're large, sturdy, double-sided so you won't get the backwards badge problem in photos, and they look great while fursuiting #furry #furryart #fursuit

A photograph of two large acrylic charm badges with artwork of a brown female gryphon with a lion's mane. Both charm illustrations show the gryphon against a backdrop of bushes and flowers. The left one features blue roses with the character's name, November, in blue letters, while the right one has red roses with the character's name in red letters. In the red rose version, the character has closed eyes while the blue rose version has open eyes. Both charms also have a gold heart-shaped clasp.

This is actually two copies of the same charm, but the red side is the back side of it and they are shown next to each other to illustrate that the design is double-sided.

Two photographs of a brown gryphon fursuiter with a lion's mane posing in a yard. In both images, the large acrylic charms from the previous photo are being worn around the neck, with the left side showing the red rose side of the charm and the right one showing the blue rose side.

A photograph of a large acrylic charm badge with art of a female blue gryphon with tiger stripes and long ears. The character's name, Artemis, is written across the artwork in green letters. The badge also has a green U-shaped clasp. It is not depicted in this image but the reverse side is the same illustration but mirrored.

A photograph of a blue gryphon fursuiter with tiger stripes posing on a sidewalk in front of some flowers. She is wearing the same acrylic badge from the previous image on a lanyard (as well as another badge that is unfortunately flipped backwards in this image).

I did them years ago, so any other examples I have right now have old art on them, but I loved doing them and I often get asked about the second one of Artemis while I'm out. They can also have stuff like glitter or clasps in other colors.

9 times out of 10 it's bc I am trying to combat burnout and time is money, sobs. I don't have a lot of disposable income from comms either, like all of that is going to bills pretty much. but I'm also trying to slowly improve and be more adventurous with my art. seems like it's working out so far

020

💙 DYNAMO-DEEPBLUE 💙 @dynamo-deepblue.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Every time I raise the price of any of my commissions I'm like "man. idk if anyone will pay that much for it" and people do anyway which always surprises me, so I guess I don't need to worry?? thank you for thinking my art is worth that much

Comms being revised atm. I wanna bring back acrylic badges and I'm taking BW sketches off the regular list of options bc I get so few of them and honestly I don't really like selling them. But like, you can still ask me for one if you really really want one there'll be a post soon ofc bc I am broke
