One of my biggest W’s that I thought was an L at the time was preordering the PS5 Pro back in 2024. Admittedly I FOMO’d after seeing the FF7 Rebirth footage, and thought I was a moron for buying a Pro. …turns out, I did the right thing. Can’t believe these things are $900+ now 😭

Picked up a Switch 2 a few weeks ago and have been replaying FF7 Remake. I got to demo this last year at PAX West in Seattle, but I gotta say playing strictly in handheld mode, the game runs buttery smooth. Super impressed with the port, and I am eager to return to Rebirth after!

Oh yeah, you can also you know…take your physical games with you and get them signed by VAs in the game, giving you a special unique copy of the game to keep your whole lifetime.

Nothing beats owning a game physically. Picking up FF7 Rebirth from Best Buy at launch in 2024, was an incredible feeling. Not to mention I got a the pre-order bonus steelbook! With Sony killing physical games, I am way less likely to further support PlayStation for future generations. Sad day.

Ended up in the ER last night, I blacked out unexpectedly 3 times while on my SF vacation. TLDR nothing life threatening. I was diagnosed with vasovagal syncope and dehydration. Definitely was dehydrated and the vasovagal syncope can be caused by intense anxiety/ stress, which lately 100% an issue.🙏

I also recently finished replaying Emerald for the first time since 2005!!!! Yeah, 2005 was the last time I touched this game if you exclude me hacking with Action Reply and transferring all my mons to Pearl in 2007. Emerald is easily Top 3 behind BW and Platinum though. So much fun with this game

Japan 2025 photo dump I did not procrastinate posting!! 3 week legendary trip. Visited Tokyo, Kanazawa, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya. Ate some amazing food. Bought ALOT of games, anime merch, Pokemon cards. Hung out with the homies. Nothing more to say. Hopefully I will return end of this year. 🇯🇵

Trob and I rented a car today in Japan. We drove to the outskirts of Tokyo in a town called Hachioji, and visited several recycle shops. These were seriously some of the best Hardoff and Bookoffs I have been to. The selections were massive and everything was underpriced for the most part. Worth 🔥

Played through Resident Evil Remake for the first time, after replaying OG PS1. Super good remake, I was very impressed. Took a bit to adapt to early game strategy with being frugal on ammo / healing, but after that we were solid. Also technically a "spooky game" for October. 😊

Streamed for the first time in idk how long and played Mega Man 2 for the first time. My first MM game, played on Difficult and beat it in one sitting. Really hard game, but super rewarding to complete! 😊 Going to start Super Metroid tomorrow I think! Back to speedruns in due time!
