The CEO of Canada's largest "that's a feature, not a product" based business has opinions well outside his understanding. Shocker. You'd think a guy with this much money would travel but, apparently not. Policies like this (capped fares) are pretty standard. MTA (NYC) has done this for years.

Head of the FIA is from the UAE. Pivotting F1 back to pure combustion has always been part of the plan for him. They’ll hedge with “synthetic fuels” for “sustainability” but when Audi, Honda, Mercedes etc all leave the sport because it’s no longer relevant to them F1 will be worse for it.

I was just telling someone over coffee that it's amazing how some company seems to have raised $40M in seed funding by flipping on the "require output format" option in N8N and calling it an "innovation". We've definitely hit the tail end of the AI bubble.

"Associate member" was the term used when this potential arrangement was announced in Strasbourg by the EU this morning. Details of the potential partnership will be discussed in October, but the broad strokes related to trade, defence, and potential freedom of movement were confirmed.

The fact that my Canadian passport may offer me borderless travel to the EU before my British passport does is 2026 in a nutshell.

Should have been 2-1 #cfmontreal. That Owusu/Sanchez goal was onside. The line presentation provided afterward the match was amateurish and sloppy. Even the One Soccer folks are confused as to how this wasn't given. See you in Montréal, #whitecaps.

Sadly we’ve had no other options. Hopefully Sealy provides some offensive bite while Synchuk develops further.

110

Dylan Neild 🇨🇦🇬🇧 @dylanneild.ca · 29/08/2026

I’ve gotten the distinct impression over the last few matches that Synchuk knows he’s under pressure to perform sooner than later. Taking super low percentage shots on goal rather than passing, rushing the play, etc. He needs playing time, but he’s not starting 11 calibre (yet?).

Until this changes, the MLS will always remain a "lesser" football league, no matter how many top-quality players they can import from across the Atlantic. Kudos to Eullaffroy and Fraser for simply saying what we've all been thinking, match after match. #cfmontreal #cfmtl #mls

One of the most glaring differences between @mls.bsky.social and the higher calibre European leagues is the poor officiating. Rather than punishing coaches and players who get frustrated with this, the league should commit to improvement. Sadly, they've taken a different approach. 1/2

If we keep going with this format, perhaps we will get to the point where playoffs start on opening day, each team plays the others an equal number of times, and the team with the most wins gets the title. 😜

This feels like exactly what the "Net Benefit" test was designed for, no? Canada has a long history of foolishly allowing key home-owned or home-grown technologies to be sold to US interests. Surely in 2026 stopping this sale is a no-brainer.

My partner and I got a call at 2am from the alarm company that managed her charity office. We went down and found all the laptops stolen (again, from a charity!). Toronto Police arrived 7 hours later and said "It was probably drug users", then left. They were nice enough, but utterly useless.
