This morning the cab structure was lifted up onto KJEF's new air traffic control tower. So exciting. This project has literally been 30 years in the making.

Up she goes! The cab is about even with the top as the crane lifts it up alongside the tower structure. Looks kind of like a dangling spider

Crane is lowering the cab onto the tower as workers position it so the connection points meet. As you see the workers, it looks just like what controllers will look like in the cab.

So it's been a fun few days- had carpal tunnel surgery on my right wrist Wednesday. Recovery is going well, but I need to wear this wrap for several more days. I've also discovered that my left hand is COMPLETELY unprepared to take on the duties my right normally accomplishes. 😂 Stay tuned.

Last weekend I was very happily sweating my ass off at KJEF during our annual Show Me State Air Show. It was soooo freaking hot out there on the ramp, but man is it fun directing these beasts. Occasionally, I cop a ride. Yeehaw!! #aviation #avgeek #warbirds #flight

I'm marshaling an SBC2 Helldiver into parking position - it has it's wings folded as for carrier operations.
