Thanks, still taking it kind easy with food but hasn't been too bad. Today was the first day I was able to really move around all day and not have a bunch of pain.

dwot @dwot.com · 04/09/2026

Are you seeing a pop up saying "changes may not be saved". It's been going on for me for a long while now and I assumed it was pihole blocking something. The read notifications seem to go through eventually but they spin for a long while and frequently fail to go through before I'm out of there.

Error saying "Changes you made may not be saved."

Support for hardware I don't have access to has been pretty much at the whim of contributors. AC Infinity doesn't publish an official API, so without playing with a device directly it's harder to get anything pulled in. That said there is a button to dump out the raw response from the API call.

dwot @dwot.com · 25/08/2026

github.com/dwot/isley Need to get back to it and ship another update once I'm feeling a bit better but it's been coming along steadily. Sensor data, plant tracking, seed library, image gallery. It's been a fun project.

What sort of data you trying to get? This is one of the key features of Isley, connecting to your AC Infinity stuff and reading the sensors / power levels.

All great suggestions, the post-op nurse had recommended the pillow but after I showed my wife this she went out and got me a couple new ones to hug. God damn that shoulder pain from the CO2 is the worst! Seems like you know a thing or 2 about this procedure!

Good luck with your, sending my good vibes your way!

And another countdown reaches zero. Today was surgery, went into the hospital with a gallbladder and came back without one. Successful surgery, now home recovering and feeling sore but ok. Now rest and recuperation for the rest of the week. From pain to drain to this, what a summer! #ilivedbitches

NY is a big state! I think it's like 300-ish miles from me to the MA line, closer to Buffalo and Toronto for me. The micro licenses are a cool feature of the NYS market but I lack that entrepreneurial spirit I guess, I'm happy to just grow and share and enjoy. Hope you have good luck with it!

dwot @dwot.com · 15/08/2026

I'm out in Western NY. This bill allows microbusiness license holders into these farmer's markets, fixing up a gap in how the license worked. Homegrow can only be freely gifted in NYS, anything sold has to be licensed, tracked and tested.

🪓🪓 Chop Time! Blueper (Bluetane x Crumble n Cream) is chopped and in the Cannatrol. This was a test run of one of the 300+ seeds from an accidental pollination last run when Crumble n Cream herm'd out. Dark and smelly with a sort of sweet garlicky smell. #cannabis #homegrow #weedsky

YMMV but here's a thread of people talking about the same sort of thing, they all seem to say they put linux on it one way or another. community.home-assistant.io/t/installati... The other option would be a raspberry pi or something like www.home-assistant.io/green/

000

Not sure how familiar you are with Linux but I'd probably look for a guide for a mac mini of that era and see what it takes to get Ubuntu 24.04 or 26.04 on it. From there running docker and home assistant and any other self-hosting containers would be relatively trivial.

I think Home Assistant itself is probably pretty easy, the trickiest bit might be docker on an older Mac. Is it still running Mac OS are do you have Linux on it?
