It’s the scandals. Fixed matches were and are a massive problem for sports. If fans don’t trust the integrity of the game, they won’t buy tickets. It’s so crazy that every time a guy misses a three or throws a ball that you have to wonder if he did it on purpose.

I’m a massive sports fan who doesn’t bet and a parent. It’s incredibly hard to explain to my kids why betting is stupid when they see it constantly during games. Beyond that, there have already been enough scandals (Clase, Porter) to not really trust what I’m seeing anymore and that sucks.

USF’s struggles at BGSU can be entirely explained by the bizarre decision to play OG/C Shrader at RT. He gave up 5 sacks and had a 0.0 pass block score. It was no coincidence both TDs came after he got hurt. It’s that or they were intimidated by the size of the BGSU band.

The only relevant question is whether the Steelers even matter anymore.
