Working on the wolf head helmet for the LARP I'm going to on Friday. Needed something to keep my head warm. I'll be 3hrs north in the mountainous wilderness in winter, and with no heat outside the cabins and bath area, save for the giant hearth in the inn. Hence my costume!

Annual reminder to everyone to get up to date on your vaccines!! Especially if immunocompromised but able to receive them!! It's cold and flu season, pneumonia season, etc. plus travel is common meaning exposure risks are higher. Stay safe!! Get vaccinated if you can!!

Woke up at 3am in horrible agony unable to sleep. Called a virtual doctor by 4am. I've got an infection that reached my damn kidneys again!! Drove out to grab antibiotics at 5:30am and I'm feeling far better now, but still suffering pain. Rip. At least no ER this time. Thank the gods!!

I have a friend who moved from NJ to Florida this year and he says it's 59° there, but folks are wearing thick winter coats with fur lining, earmuffs, etc. How????? It's 45° here and I'm in shorts. I'd be a puddle of melted Magnus if I dressed in anything warmer.

Funniest thing is, tonight, I taught myself how to use the sewing machine. But the machine's missing the spool cap. So I shoved a screwdriver in a wine cork and stuck that on the end, and it works great as a replacement til the new actual replacement arrives lol.
