Mayor Lionheart is diving head-first into the race for a second term as Zootopia’s Mayor! I don’t know… there seems to be something different about his platform this time around…can’t seem to figure out what it is… #fatfur #FatFurs

As someone who tried it (emphasis on *tried*) you do have to plan and idealy start drawing ahead of time (i.e. September), day by day doesn't leave room for low energy days, life interruptions etc. Esp when not doing art fulltime Alternative include doing batches to have a few days of buffer

Having Lukas loom on the entire background, suggesting just enough to convey his size, and having that little window in the middle, is absolutely brilliant!! Excellent use of comics as a medium to supplement the story in such a unique and effective way!

The story really could go either way!

Two rows of three panel comics. Depending on if you look at it from left to right or right to left, either the snow leopard character is gaining weight or losing weight while his smart watch either praises or nags him. Same thing with the tiger in the bottom row, either losing or gaining weight depending on his dining habits, with each image taking place in a restaurant booth.

It's hard to create a design that's not too reminiscent of either Rauru or Mineru when we don't have anyone else to be able to know if ears can have different shapes, how much face shapes or fashion may vary between individuals etc.

Animation truly is a craft of patience and attention to details. I only ever dabbled in it as an amateur so I can only imagine how much you learn but also have to work on with such a tutor. But I'm sure it's worth it in the end

I've shared this experience before, but during my first FatFur meet at a con, someone made a "joke" that I didn't look like I was at the right panel because I was (relatively) fit. This has burned me from these events and now I'm more than ok to skip them to do something better instead.

My favourite movie at age 20 While there's another animated movie that is VERY popular with furries (and for good reasons) that also came out that year, Dofus is just a cut above. The animation is impeccable, the story so heartfelt, and such a wonderful feat for a moderate studio at the time

Not everyone is in a situation where they can gain freely, we shouldn't shut down people who try to socialize and put themselves out there bc they don't meet an arbitrary weight requirement. Even if the comments are meant to be playful teasing, the result can feel like gatekeeping.

I know this is meant to be a silly post, but the real solution should be that nobody is made to feel unwanted at a panel because of their body. I had the same experience at my first FatFur Meet at NFC and it has honestly soured me and made me not want to go to other such meets afterward.
