I had an estimated burn at 01:52, however, my "mistake" was to follow Kosmos 2612’s old orbit up to the estimated burn at 01:52, then switch to the new orbit, but the new orbit closest point (01:35) had already passed, ie so I "miss" the closest point.... back to the drawing board...

ie, plot below (porting my python code and having php headaches and math doubts, so take this with a huge grain of salt until I check this closer...) but based on the latest set i'm getting 483 m at 18-10 02:05 UTC, and now i'm propagating back and forth, with the difference of using historical sets

I'm knee deep in porting my old python code, SGP4 fun and php headaches, anyway, below current work in progress (huge caveat I havent checked the calculations fully yet so grain of salt etc.)

duidelijk, ik blijf nu wel bij een volledige SGP4 versie, dat is al beter dan wat ik eerst deed (alleen main long-term J2 effects) los van dat OMM/TLE data is dat mijns inziens een "betere" manier

I was curious about this Tesla Roadster Copperfield-esque show, so just leaving this here... There were 2 cars, 1 stunt car and 1 show car (interiors shots) ? The stunt car was some sort of shell with the extra tank on the passenger side ? Questions....

So we have a little bit of a timeline, NASA Admin visits SR-71 844 on January 25th. Checking our little Sentinel friends, it seems that 844 has been moved between 21 and 26th of February (!) so several months earlier then previously reported (May)

Post script part 2: Just for fun, right next to this building, guess what ? NRO is building a new building, called WPF, or Western Processing Facility, for bigger (5 meter diameter) payloads To be continued ?

DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026
There is more detailed information, and although it is listed as public, I find plans related to electrical and security topics a lapse in OPSEC, so, as this is still an active classified facility, I will leave it at that, its a satellite processing facility used by the NRO...

DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026
Further digging into the public documents found another nugget, confirmation that this building is still active and was used to process a payload for the NRO, L-47, USA-281, a possible TOPAZ/FIA radar satellite

DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026
After finding the building name I started to find more information, including the link to the NRO, in 2017 the HVAC of the building was replaced/upgraded and an addition was built, not knowing the details, I previously reported on that addition on twitter some years ago.

As its hard to find more about a building if you don't know its name, I started there, I doubt it was still called OMCF, so I needed a map, luckily for me, hunters in the area needed good maps, and Vandenberg provided one ! so building 3000 it is

DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026
It took me a bit to find and prove this, so lets start with the basics, the location at Vandenberg, the building sits close to the south east end of the runway, mostly unchanged, until something changed around 2017, which is where my initial trail began...
140 4
DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026
Although the Space Shuttle usage at Vandenberg was cancelled, the building was pretty much ready, after cancellation however, the building was handed over to its current user at some point. The current user you ask ? after "some digging around" I found out it is the NRO...

So, part of my deep dive on X-37B facilities I looked at another building... Although this building doesn't seem to be related to X-37B ops, or at least its lacking evidence, the building has an interesting history, it is Vandenbergs version of the Space Shuttle OPF, aka OMCF

So, Starship IFT-14: Impressive, yes, lots of pretty pics, check... Also: 2 engines out on the booster 1 engine out on Starship early de-orbit after just shy of 2 orbits instead of 6 So today its a nice non-reusable launcher for bigger starlinks, but fully & rapidly re-usable it aint just yet...
