Not so gentle reminder that boulevards are public/green infrastructure that support trees and climate change adaptation. It is illegal to park or drive over boulevards because doing so compacts soil and damages tree roots. Damages elm and ash trees are more susceptible to diseases. #yeg

I may be wrong, but I suspect that there are more walnut trees in this row of propagation boxes than in the rest of Edmonton — three species, all grown from local seed sources. #yeg #yegfood #juglans

Hey, @thecityofedmonton.bsky.social , As a block, we've spent hours notifying neighbours, digging out vehicles, and organizing off-street parking, only to be notified that plowing has been completed. @edmontonanne.bsky.social @andrewknack.bsky.social

When I learned about Storage Tomatoes, I knew I needed to grow some. Storage 🍅s are bred to have long shelf-lives and can, apparently, sometimes last from harvest to Easter. The skin as thicker and the flesh a little more acidic, but a pretty damn good fresh tomato for the start of December.
