Found out the turnaround time for the new counter is 4-6 weeks. Oh boy! In the meantime we do have a basement utility sink to wash dishes and pots in, and it’s about time we broke out the crock pot and made large batches of food to reduce individual preps and prepackaged stuff. Let’s cook!

New kitchen sink counter installed and leveled! While that was happening I broked down the old cabinet into disposable or burnable pieces. Oh I will have so many barrel bonfires this winter!

Yesterday the old kitchen sink cabinet was removed. Water damage had rotted out a couple flooring sections, today these were excised and replaced with reinforced wood. Tomorrow the plumbers will install the new cabinet after which Lowes takes countertop measurements. Then the clock starts ticking!

After the electrician installed an exterior outlet and doorbell earlier this year, the front door interior wall was in need of resurfacing. Today I neatened the edges up so that drywall can be cut and installed. I’ll also change the light switches out and add expanding foam in the frame gap. Zooooom

I got this clown mask back over the weekend, it had sustained a nearly 10 inch tear up the neck along with lots of perforations. I finished the external repair last night and will work on the internal reinforcement after work. A total repaint and hair is in order, first time for me on both counts!

Kitchen floor vent cover replacement. Earlier in the week I ripped and cut five interlocking boards. Today I cut out the ragged floor bits, added supports, stuffed 10” insulation into the recesses then popped the boards into place after refining the ends a bit. Now it’s solid and insulated!

Last night I tested out a lightly used Shattered FX Carver mask I bought. Snug fit, very eerie, quite photogenic! I'm not usually into gore or bloody splatter effects, but with a little repaint I can subtly reduce the grue while retaining the splotchy look. I'll have to ponder the approach!

Before/after yesterday’s 2 hour weeding next to the service road. My lower back aches and there is some stuff to wrap up but the worst of it is over with. I really can’t let a repeat of this happen next year, something has to be planted that I’ll want to see grow.

Before and after pics of yesterday's backyard weeding. 3.5 hours picking up where I left off a month ago. I can walk across my yard now! Still several areas like under the porch and near the back fence to work on. The service road area I won't touch til autumn, likely will burn and reboot that mess.

I did the dogging around last night and this early afternoon. Old pup mask found in a box of masks @hoodedjustice.bsky.social had been gifted. I can kind of see the allure of pup play now, but honestly the latex smell is what really got me going. I do see other dog mask projects in my future!
