If anyone judges you for your choices, then they don't belong in your space. Their opinion is worthless. Keep doing what feels right to you. The fight for Valko isn't the same for everyone. You want the dress? Buy the dress. It's not caving. It's playing in a way that makes you happy.

Got my official Blizzcon photos back today! I didn't get many pics throughout the day, so I'm really grateful for these. I'm in love with how vibrant the colours look!

Lyssabel Dawnpetal, housing steward of Azeroth. A night elf dressed in red armour with gold detailing, and a blue skirt with large teal laves on it. She holds a book bound in bark, with leaves growing from it, and writes in it with a blue feather quill pen.

The look you’re gonna get if you ask how to get your HOA fees refunded! Lyssabel Dawnpetal, made 100% by hand, by me, walked the stage at Blizzcon this weekend. Made it to the in-person judging, but didn’t place.

A person dressed as Lyssabel Dawnpetal from World of Warcraft. She is wearing red and gold leather armor, with a blue skirt decorated with leaves. On her hip, a book with a bark-like cover hangs from a belt.

Been silent about my Blizzcon build, because my initial plans fell apart. Literally. So, in panic mode, I bought different fabrics, and sewed like crazy to make the 80% check in deadline (2 weeks ago). Seems like it was worth it, as I learned today I’ve made the cut for the in-person judging!

A mannequin dressed in a partial costume for Lyssabel Dawnpetal. The mannequin wears a deep blue skirt with large teal leaves around the hem, a white shirt, and a red leather armour set (hip and waist pieces, armguards and a tunic) all heavily embellished with gold trim. In this picture, there are also black shoulder pieces, that are the bases for how the shoulders will look in the end (matching red and gold, with some twig and leaf details).

A back view of a mannequin dressed in a partial costume for Lyssabel Dawnpetal. The mannequin wears a deep blue skirt with large teal leaves around the hem, a white shirt, and a red leather armour set (hip and waist pieces, armguards and a tunic) all heavily embellished with gold trim.

A 3/4 front view of a mannequin dressed in a partial costume for Lyssabel Dawnpetal. The mannequin wears a deep blue skirt with large teal leaves around the hem, a white shirt, and a red leather armour set (hip and waist pieces, armguards and a tunic) all heavily embellished with gold trim.

A screenshot of the character of Lyssabel Dawnpetal, as reference for the previous costume pictures.

When even the quote bots get how we're feeling. (To be clear, while I'm mildly happy that we're getting ANY kind of announcement from Infold, what we got is very much NOT what I was hoping for. I'd like to hope that this is "testing the waters" and a sign we're getting back to normal, but ... eh)

Two quotes.
First, from Rafayel - "Can we throw it into the garbage?"
Second, from Xavier - "Do U know hot to fil a complaint against a store employee?"

Aww, he looks like a baby seal in that first pic!

Oh boy, did I ever have a massive failure with Lyssabel’s armour parts. Just did not come out how I wanted. So, with time ticking to the 80% check in, I’m starting over using different fabrics, and the new version brings me joy. Also, been piecing her skirt together, and these colours are 🤌

A red faux leather armguard with swirly gold details seen on to it. Some partial weathering is visible, it’s a test piece, so I’ve been messing around with it.

A section of a skirt, made from deep midnight blue silk, accented with large leafy pieces in a vibrant teal along the hem. This is just basted together, and needs decorative stitching around the edges.

730 days together. Two years of getting to know these characters, and spending time with each of them. This game has meant so much to me. Still does, despite the current mess.

A set of Kitty Butler widgets, 4 of which are noted as being together for 730 days. This marks two years since this person began playing this game.

What I don't get, is that they changed it, then removed it. So why now, are the choosing to take the entire story out? It provides context for other parts of the story. Makes no sense.

100% with all (current) LIs. This was my big goal ahead of Valko’s release. It was supposed to feel like a shining moment, as I eagerly awaited the arrival of my wolf, and the collection process started again. Instead … (see last image for mood)

*She laced her fingers together in her lap, and looked up at him, her face and tone pure innocence.* "I don't think any stray kittens are going to wander in here. After all, most cats don't care for water." *She glanced lower* "Now, those dangly toys you're wearing? Might be a different matter."

Assembling arm guards for Lyssabel, and it’s feeling less like Azeroth’s Favourite Realtor, and more like Wonder Woman vibes! (That gold is REALLY shiny)

Pieces of an arm guard to be assembled and sewn together. The base piece is a bright red, with shiny gold trim pieces laid on top. Also visible are reels of thread in red, yellow and white.

The scarf is only That Damn Scarf ™️because right now, it doesn't have any other "neckwear" to compete with it. Same with the kitten mittens, they are currently the only "handwear". I wish they would add more for these clothing slots, so that the scarf could become more random!

The underwear is precarious y’all! It did NOT want to clip properly. I may have to try and reshape it a little, not sure. But the statue overall sure is pretty to look at! And lovely to touch too. (Also sneaky Dragon Sylus reflected in the mirror!)

A silicone skinned statue of Sylus, wearing a body harness, and sitting handcuffed on a chair. There is a tall mirror behind him, and a gun and a riding crop at his feet.

Duskrose @duskrose.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

My friends, this is a gorgeous version, but I can NOT stop giggling. I kept it covered with the tissue paper, but he’s smooth down there. OK, I expected that. But the (hard plastic) underwear which clips on? Has a bulge. And those socks are real fabric, and removable if I so wish.

110

Duskrose @duskrose.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

On to Box #2, and this is a silicone skinned version. It’s beautifully painted, and very squishy to the touch. The arms are also silicone. The head is resin (which is why I have it laying on foam, I don’t want to break the hair) and is different to the first one in that it doesn’t have earrings.

The pieces to a silicone skinned version of the previous Sytlus statue. The accessories are the same, but the model is mostly naked, wearing a body harness, socks and gloves. There is underwear for it, which is seen to the side.

As promised, a couple of better pics of the fully assembled Sylus, without the feathers scattered on the base to try and avoid attracting my helpers. I forgot my Lil S plush for scale, but this a 1/4 scale piece, so it’s pretty large, and that base and mirror are heavy!

A statue of Sylus, sitting on a chair with a gun and a riding crop at his feet, and a tall mirror behind him.

Duskrose @duskrose.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

The assembled statue, with kitteh for scale. The mirror still has a protective film on it, so it’s a little blurry. Since 3 of my cats tried to “help” with the pics (those fake feathers on the base were too tempting) I will try to get better pics tomorrow, as well as unpacking box #2

A statue of Sylus in his No Defense Zone outfit, sitting on a chair in front of a mirror. His wrists are handcuffed behind him, and there is a gun and a riding crop at his feet. There are black feathers scattered over the base. A pale Siamese cat sits to the side, looking down at the feathers on the base.

130

Duskrose @duskrose.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

All the pieces from the case. Sylus himself slots together with magnets, and sits on the chair. The tall piece with the gem on it actually fits into the base the other way around, but I wanted to show off the pretty back of it.

All the pieces unpacked from the foam case.

Duskrose @duskrose.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

Picked one at random to open, and looks like we have the NDZ Sylus. This one is a fully resin statue, posed sitting on a chair, and sits on a very heavy base.

Sending out a pspsps! I was expecting one box, one display base with 2 statues. Apparently, I have two full displays here. One of these is NDZ Sylus, the other is ... less clothed. (I'll add more pics as I unbox them) @sylusgoddess.bsky.social @phazonfairy.bsky.social #Sylus #LoveandDeepspace

A pair of matte black boxes, both with the name Sylus printed on them in shiny black ink, with a feather behind the name.
