Cleaning capilaries, repairing/servicing ovens and electronics. It is not easy to make TD-PTR-MS contantly run with good efficiency. I am just waiting to see somebody trying to fast-replicate the work of our labs and the comments about how impossible it is :) #microplastics

Scientists don't have time to ask themselves hard questions! The brain #microplastic paper is a joke: Fat makes false positive PE - see missing high m/z ions in PyGCMS. The brain has ~60% fat, and the liver has ~5%, so that is why there are ~10x more "plastics" in the brain. doi.org/10.1038/s415...

This line is striking! In the place where I grew up, nothing was the same afterwards—less snow, no white Christmas, no -20°C in late January, and no slow snowmelt in February or March. It became impossible to build a snowman and have it last a week! #ClimateCrisis #GlobalWarming
