Alex relies on David's wardrobe throughout the book so I wanted to draw out what that might look like.

I never understood why people knock after trying to open a locked bathroom door. Like, what do they expect? "Ah, since you have interrupted my pee, I will now grant you wishes three!"

Do you ever start reading a book everyone's been hyping up since you were a kid and then just... didn't like it? OTL

Listening to quirky coffee shop jazz music while writing a character having a panic attack/flashback to that one time they were violently torn to shreds <3

Wow, I cannot tell people enough how important Tapas was to western webcomic history. Totally changed the landscape back in the day. End of an era indeed.

Btw I also picked up this indie comic while I was there called Weather Bound! It's about magical storm chasers, it's a really neat concept and I was reading it at my booth in the later half of the day :D

A long time reader came up to my stall after finding this comic in a big browse box at a tiny market, knowing I loved megaman and gave this to me as a gift. BRO THIS ISN'T EVEN RELEASED YET HOW

Packing boxes is pretty peaceful and I really enjoy doing it. Looking forward to shipping these out, I had such a fun time with this kickstarter.

DuneDeca @dunedeca.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I wanted to get into book binding, and I thought attempting a rebinding might be a fun way to start, so I ordered an extra copy of my favorite book on amazon... ...and got an ARC copy. And now I'm like "this is way too cool" so now I'm ordering a third copy and keeping both.

I'll also be at The Great Geek Gathering hosted at the Oviedo Mall in Florida, September 19th! I'll be carrying any remaining goods from the kickstarter as well, so if you're in the area and looking to snatch a book or standee you missed out on, I'll be there!

DuneDeca @dunedeca.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Hardcovers are in! I've ordered some boxes so it won't be long now till everything is ready to ship out and I start the backer survey!

Deca, introduced us to about a dozen hot, Hyleft pirates in the later, swashbuckling episodes of #SpellwardBound Here's their captain flanked by two of his boys. They don't usually have their hair in front of their eyes, but they must have managed to loot a bottle of Ty's L'orca volumizing shampoo.

Anywho, you probably won't see me on twitch anymore

DuneDeca @dunedeca.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

What really gets me on Twitch opting in for AI training is that is a conveniently large amount of data to train an AI on how to generate "proof" videos.

My brother wanted to run Curse of Stradh and told us to make "serious" characters, so I adapted an old character I had to make a Detective Rogue looking for her lost father :D

Sometimes I watch a movie with CGI birds and they put like, waaayyyy to much windup between each frame. Like, most of the time the proper amount of frames between each bird pose is 0. Absolutely none. Just little bolty guys.

I went in to a dermatologist (male) for a tingling mole on my back, who then told me he didn't want to do a biopsy because it "might leave a scar" and "what would my future husband think?" I was single, we went to another state for another opinion and we caught early signs of cancer.

The Dark Lord concept was in the lead with votes over the weekend so I drew up some concepts. Though everything ended in a tie again at the end. Either way, here's some doodles!

Semi random Pikachu because I needed a quick icon for something

DuneDeca @dunedeca.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

I thought the same so I thought it would get the least votes, but nope it had a lot of interest XD

I have a poll for my next comic project going on and the Scifi/Action monster battler and the Romance/Fantasy Dark Lord story are tied rn, so I drew a draft of both sets of protags

I hate how AI and the enshittification of search engines has turned character design from my most favorite part of the process to my least, and most frustrating part.

I can't believe there are people on bluesky going "it's just style! its his style!" while posting examples of hands with complete finger joints to disprove that the fat jello hand is AI.

040

DuneDeca @dunedeca.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

That KH cover being AI kills me inside. Old Disney would have lost their shit if a single line was out of place of their style guide, but I guess its okay for Donald to have mismatched fingers now.

It flew away. We have dozens of bats in the neighborhood out around dusk and plenty of dog walkers and they always keep a good distance away so it was really strange behavior. I called the country health department and they were like "yeaaaahhhh go to the ER and get that started."

DuneDeca @dunedeca.bsky.social · 12/05/2026

Guess who went on a walk and ran face first into a bat (animal) and spent the next several hours in the ER getting their rabies shot :)

Like, "authors should serve their audiences. Serve the better interests." Who's interests? Dangerous thinking that authors should only work on behalf of other ideas and not their own.
