I'm a huge fan of using PCA during EDA to let the data tell me what is going on. I'm impressed by the insights it provides (or forces me to consider). Yesterday in our course, we covered NumPy and did PCA by hand. Once you learn this, you can use other techniques to optimize your tool belt.

I typically will write down notes when I teach. These are meant for students. I like to believe I'm modeling what I believe an ideal student would do. In the past, these have been Markdown files or Jupyter notebooks with hints and best practices. Now, this file is named `AGENTS.md`.

There is a difference between "write code then tests" and "write tests then code". When I say this to my clients, I often get confused looks. A test written before creates pressure on the code. A test written after agrees with the implementation.
